Instapoem

I have to remove
these Instagram filters of
love from my very
eyes just to tarnish the pure
gaze and pulchritude of yours.

Post

Why don't you post,
Just one more picture,
Just one more message,
Just one more like.
Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Whatsap,
Just one more time!!

Premium Member Send In the Clone

‘Do not disturb’ sign on my phone,
the struggle is real with time zones;
Too tired to feel alive
can’t miss this Instagram Live,
maybe I will just send in my clone.

Abundance

When you enter a certain age
your opinions don't count
In the West age does not carry consideration
for the aegis of youth prevails
with your Tik Tok and Instagram
instant accords of the febrile mind

Kindness

KINDNESS

Kindness spreads happiness,
Spread happiness all around!

This is a quote, I wrote in my book - Little Daisy Poetry by Daisy Meadows available on Amazon.

Rose Moon in Bloom

Written for the prompt Rose Moon 15 - 25 words set by Poets Island via Instagram

Eclipsed hips part, unearthing
a rose moon in bloom,
opal sighs glimmer,
ruby heat spills, sitting
bodies ablaze in molten embrace.

Diwali

Jalao die kr do sansaar roshan..
Hr ek kone me ek dia jagmagae...
Chlo pyrr se sb manae diwali..

INFLUENCE

Took my hands and spotted the scars
Brainstorming on followers i would set loose
Serving my persona amidst fictitious comrades
Whipped out flaunting dummy soma
Chasing down the soul to bent toward authentic self
Seeking my failings hidden in brandish bits...

Present Is-

A gentle kiss,
       What present is.
A cute n bold Miss,
       What life really is
So go and kill that tension trench
And give this girl a lifelong French

Premium Member My Granddaughter's Dating

My granddaughter’s dating
her phone call I’m not awaiting

For she is nearly as foolish as me
assuming grandpa never knew a thing or three
   about love, marriage and sexuality

Once you’ve the experience to lend good advice ~
your grandkid consults Instagram and rolls the dice

Premium Member Oh, Baby, Baby

I’m so concerned for Britney Spears;
She’s dancing to a Timberlake!
The “Toxic” singer’s shedding tears;
I’m shocked some people think they’re fake.

Danced “Holy Grail?” She must be sick;
She shows such pain on Instagram.
I’m not here for the nudie pics.
Here for you, Brit, I really am!

Story of the Rain

Listen to the rain, it tells a magnificent story.
A tapping on the roof, of monsters escaped from your mind.
Or the pitter patter of dreams, inspiring your imagination.
Listen to the rain, will it take you to a dream, or release you into a nightmare?

Your Heart

Why compare yourself to somebody else
You are your own self
and unique in your own way
Instagram, Twitter or Facebook
it's not about your followers or how you look
Don't let your ship run aground
while you examine those around
It's not about others
or what they surmise
It's what's in your heart
they will visualize

Mirror Mirror

Face to face
no filtered glam
I age with grace
No fake instagram

My imperfect skin
Grey hair peeking through
Eyebrows now thin
and my eye lashes too

Wrinkled smile
Eye lids fold and sag
Changing profile
from the youth i once had

The course of nature
makes us recall
how did we nurture?
Mirror Mirror tells all!

Handsome Cygnets In Nature

Saw young swans tour ending June
in a pond of pending gloom.
Had some food to hand them soon
in the mood to mute the doom.
But they set back, let back room
for a soft sweet swan song tune
that I - had I seen it loom -
could and would have put attune
to this footage shot at noon.

True Love

POEM.
TRUE LOVE.
At the moment I see,
My heart shrinking,
Frightening my head,
Due to falling love,
When I see such beauty,
That touch my feelings.

Then I came into,
The world of control,
Daily kisses and caressings,
Actually is good, better best,
To get into this love,
That touch my feelings.

Actions So Typical

actions so typical
you choose to manipulate
always an eye in your mess
blood on your hands from choice
never noticing neverending
gotta be seen in the spotlight
no connection to your self
disconnected from the true You
reputation in bold
instagram image firm hold
mirror image long since broken
hoping for some sort of miracle
using actions so typical

Premium Member Next Week In Calais

I don’t know a tweet from a twitter
  Instagram and Tik-Tok? I was a quitter
I receive lots of texts, but do not send any
My hands get clammy from spending a penny…

Huh? Wudja say? – Yeah, I’m doing OK.
Went to Oahu last month; next week to Calais
My life’s insured for ten million; my wife can’t complain
She purchases bitcoin; I invest in blockchain

Let It Flow

Cut the quill… spill the ink… bleed the words… stain the sheets. Let it flow! Let it flow! The Island and the Cloud

Between freedom and Instagram
  there is an island,
where men go to be alone

An island of words
  in arresting colors,
  with meaning indicted—but seldom heard

Between Facebook and tomorrow
  a cloud sits waiting,
where men go to find themselves

An Angel calling role
  in blind acceptance,
  all names rejected—the letters whole
