Mirror Mirror

Face to face
no filtered glam
I age with grace
No fake instagram

My imperfect skin
Grey hair peeking through
Eyebrows now thin
and my eye lashes too

Wrinkled smile
Eye lids fold and sag
Changing profile
from the youth i once had

The course of nature
makes us recall
how did we nurture?
Mirror Mirror tells all!

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Laura, cute. I see you haven't posted anything for about five years. I hope you are well. We do age and know there's nothing wrong with that. It's all part of life. A face lift often looks weird, but I would not know since I'm not planning on having one!

But you probably fretted about your appearance when you were young. The nice thing about age is every wrinkle has been earned and telegraphs the real you so no one needs to wonder. Well crafted verses! Aloha! Rico
