Isolation
I am anonymous
Inhabiting shadows
In between covert cracks
Inverse morality
Inside toxicity
Insane infinity
I am one of many

Reveal the Secret Not
In the extreme corner of Michigan lake,
When the inhabiting birds flying over our heads singing,
Picking the smile of children offered free;
I whispered in your ears like seashells-
A secret,
Reveal it to anyone,not,
Even in your dreams!...

On All Hallow's Eve
unseen in forests
creepy crawly things slither. . .
inhabiting night
miles from the black woods
bolder creatures (upright) flit. . .
whooping in the streets
woods seem eerier
towns' garish beasts seem wilder. . .
and strangeness prevails

LIFE-with Dad
I believe that what we become depends on what our fathers
teach us at odd moments, when they aren’t trying to teach us.
We are formed by little scraps of wisdom.
Umberto Eco, Foucoult’s Pendulum
LIFE
Living on road, once a week.
Inhabiting Dad’s kitchen.
Food for two with leftovers.
Every subject chewed o’er

Valley Sky
Through trees and uphill we attain a peak
Not snowy mountains but alone in blue sky
Its rocky face hiding narrow paths inside
Persevering as landmarks to glacial crawl
Many species inhabiting vast areas within
Waterways run past towns in valleys below
Flight of birds returning at refuge above
Little acknowledgments of nature among us...

Possessed
possessed
crazed inside
with your devlish desires
and lusty thoughts
you moved in
inhabiting the marrow
that nourishes me
my fierce yellow gaze
targets your soul
the soul that robbed
my innocence
sharp jagged teeth
poised for a bite
your sultry saliva
seeping into blood filled veins
of my mortal heart
diseasing my soul
with desire...

Inhabiting My Space
Cue music,
I’m sitting on my childhood bed,
Flowers emanating off the spread.
Osmonds, Partridges, “Me and Mrs. Jones,”
Stewart’s “Do you think I’m sexy?”
Magazine posters, boy bands, smiling large
Donny cheeks. Records dropping, spinning.
Scratching. Little sister inhabiting my space.
So what if it’s her room too. Mosquito.

No One To Come Home To
Aloneness
metamorphosizes
into isolating loneliness
with haunting banshee-like screams;
daily caged inside
perennially mute
four walls,
a divorced empty nester.
Inhabiting
a home
once filled
with mirth and chatter.
In much happier times,
his refuge;
now a lonely prison,
Until he steps out
the front door
to plenary freedom.

Our Gift
Our gifts boxed up
Pitched across the horizon
Such sweet things
The elegant simplicity of us
You wrap yourself around me
Reaching through my chest
Your soft hands cup my heart
Love is the air you breathe
I am consumed by you
Inhabiting my thoughts, my will
Filling me with your breath
Lifting the birdwing of my soul
Dancing eyes and golden tresses
Shimmering in foxglint
A vaccine against my darkness
Scattering my wraiths

Spider's Doom
Frisking in glee,
the cobweb swayed,
the wind that was crossing ventilators,
kissed the spider,
it did somersaults,
pole vaults and high/long jumps,
it was just aware of air,
and its soothing effect,
and ran amuck one cobweb corner to another,
it scarcely did realize,
that enemy had intruded the abandoned room,
and was thinking of inhabiting it clean,
first thing it would do was to use a broom,
and sound poor gleefull spider's doom....

Untold
We are the unbegotten
We are the unassigned
Redeemed from oblivion
Kept out of mind
We are the great rotation
Unfolding the sublime
An echo of obliteration
Returning with the tides
Unmarked by boundaries
Before the birth of lines
Inhabiting voided forms
Unrevealed by signs
Dissolving like a vision
Or a phantom of the blind
We are the soon forgotten
In the reckonings of time

Abandoned
the punctuations
start crumbling
a soldier
falls to coyotes
this was their space
a moon was sitting
in waiting room
inhabiting war at
a defining moment
it was a fatal attack from
the guards impersonal
ripping through the passions
to hold or not to hold
the fruit – end was near

I Remember
I REMEMBER
Shadows have fallen
since I saw you last.
You were a cool drink
of quiet in this world of noise.
Inhabiting the still parts
of my soul.
Embers of your fire
still warms me.
Your life found eternity.
A life cut achingly short.
A stage without a closing act.
In the end, we are sand
in an ocean of men.
Waves on the water
that break
along the shore.
But for a select few,
lives were touched,
souls heard, spirits freed.
I remember you.
