I Remember

I REMEMBER Shadows have fallen since I saw you last. You were a cool drink of quiet in this world of noise. Inhabiting the still parts of my soul. Embers of your fire still warms me. Your life found eternity. A life cut achingly short. A stage without a closing act. In the end, we are sand in an ocean of men. Waves on the water that break along the shore. But for a select few, lives were touched, souls heard, spirits freed. I remember you. -1992-
