At Peace With Each And Everything

Love you hanker for.
Life, evermore bright
As fair bloomed, joy-flushed through it.
Heaven in a word.

Ah! A wing'ed heart.
Angel's peaceful flight
Here, yet o're Earth not tracked for?
Whose nest then deferred.

Premium Member Stuck In a Word Blizzard

Alas, no words can I on
this parchment write,
Just meaningless drivel
falls from my pen!
And I, miserable poet,
Shouts to my Muses, three,
Not how, but when, shall
This madness cease!

Ah be come, dearest ever faithful; genuine, honest, in joyous kinship; love makes not only paradise quicken; rest safe together under virtue's wings; X's* your Zion

Language and Love

A word or two is
more than enough
to disapprove, to prick, to make one sick.

Not a single word is required
to haunt, to wound, to kill.

In a word or two
i can do whatever i want to.

In a universe of language
my love can't be subdued.

Premium Member Jealous of Everyone

She knew it all; had a quick answer for everything.
I am the best listener, she told me. Everyone says so.
I knew that everyone had tried harder than I had to get in a word.
I was a bit jealous of everyone, wondering how everyone had done it.

             In A Word

Writing this poem in the wee early 'morn.
Oh, so joyfully grateful,I was ever born!
Rich is my life with blessed-family and great friends.
Decidedly, positive, a Deist, planning on joy to my very end!

In a Word

Some words are very ancient,
some words are relatively new
There are words to describe every occasion,
words that aptly characterize me and you
But for the many names given to God we call,
God said He is defined by one word:
God is LOVE
Amen
That says it all

Retire or Re-tire What’s in a Word? The Limerick Written: by Tom Wright 2/28/2016 My wife said our old car we should retire, So I purchased a new car that she’d admire. She said with voice shrieking, It was of tires I was speaking, Then said now a second job you will require.

Sitting in social media jail,
context lost in a word cocktail;
Oh society what fools,
letting A.I change the rules;
No regard for nuance epic fail;

Dying art of the conversation
tech destroyed the definition;
Oh society what fools,
letting A.I change the rules;
It’s a computer it can’t listen.

An edge

A signal of separation

Dividing 1 and 2..

Birthing of time

And space..and

Reinforcing the

Edginess of life..

Obvious and assumed

A seeming programming

To convince and conceal..

Yet a blurring can

Appear in a word or a

Most ordinary happening

Strumming resonance with

In a word or in a whisper
The message is the same
I love you much dear bluebird
And how could I be blamed?
For I may have the sweetest girl
That ever could be had
In every way and shape and form
Over her I'm mad
By just sitting beside her
No words need to be said
Through holding hands and meeting eyes
My heart can be read

Wastelands

Do I think
you can silence a poem
In a word
the answer is NO

Do I think
you can bridle a passion
You’d be better served
melting a stone

Do I think
you can marry tomorrow
Still married
to yesterday’s pain

Do I think
you can joyously wander
Locked in step
— with the devil again

Word Saviour In Game of Words

I
The non-American word "Saviour"
Appeared in a word puzzle, vocab-builder
Includes letters that spell VISA
As players unscramble letters, & Scrabble away!

II
"SaviOUR" includes "our" destiny, the future
Anyway (You & I), yes, "U & I" spell SAVIOR
This chance finding was a blessing to me
Check it out, SPELL-power, always "USA"

Yield to the light,
Embrace love's call;
See heart's grand sight,
Heed rise and fall;
Urge springs to form,
Answer with choice.
Now flings the norm,
Opt cheer to voice;
Word in a word.
Joy hurls the way;
Endow is heard,
Sense attunes say;
Use love's bold quest,
Stillness moves best.

A Life of Fantasy

I live in a word of fantasy,
nothing I know is real.

The shapes in my mind are distorted,
I see stretched truth all the time.

My world is a scary place,
where all faces twist with screams.

The horrible carnage I've seen,
is nothing compared to my dreams.

I drink the blood of a thousand men,
just to see more die before me.

I live in my own fear,
with carnage my only friend.
