Denying
Denying
“When I deny,
All I feel is freight,
And I need some might,
Without it,
I might think to cry.
And all the crying
Lead to thoughts of dying.
Denying anything short of misapplying,
Painkillers seem like I’m retrying,
When all I’m doing is implying
And denying.”...

Now politicians play word game.
Saying climate change is to blame,
Implying Nature's got it wrong
And that they were right all along.
So these great powers must impress
And claim they can cure the mess.
For they will play the salesman game
And lie that they are not to blame....

Premium Member Zen mode
if we attempt to shift into silence
does it not signal a movement
from turbidity to tranquility
implying aversion to noise
wherein we feel not whole
and so seek to reconnect
with essence of presence
in a continuum of stillness
that we rest in heart’s abode
reuniting with truth of our being...

Premium Member Amazingly life goes on
Knowing
Seems to happen
In the domain of
The dream..with
Gifts of separation:
Writing and speaking and
Imagining and exploring..

Not knowing
Is synonymous with
No-separation..
A totality implying
The impossibility of
Knowing at all..
No compromise..yet
Amazingly
Life goes on..!

Defeated Not
The mind of a man may be defeated by any other
While the integrity held within can withstand the force
Implying that man must hold himself true to self
Admitting his strengths and his weaknesses equally
This is the secret for going forth in the world
Letting not others’ judgment change your direction
Thereby keeping yourself on track moving ahead...

Premium Member Dance of December
December came dancing along
Implying clouds to play their pouring songs
Drenching land with affectionate warmth
Wrapping mountains in snow-white shawls
Enhancing streams with drizzly charms
Ornamenting rocks with soft white tops
Draping valleys with frills of delicate fogs
Aiding awaiting lake with new aquatic stock
Lifting spirits to prepare for Christmas Rock...

She looks at me
with long suffering forbearance,
implying once again I must have
gotten up on the wrong side of my head
as all that comes out of my mouth
is sound without content
rhyme without reason
as clearly my left brain
hasn't had the coffee
it needs
to kick the right one
onto submission.

Parental Forgiveness Written: by Miracle man 2/24/2020 God forgave us commanding that we do the same, but some procrastinate until a future day. However, once we forgive we've no one to blame, forgiving isn't implying said act was okay. Written for a friend. Matthew 6:14 KJV For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

SJGNAL EVENT BETWEEN MAN AND WOMAN

The eyes have it
As the trolley slews past the bread display
At first glance it may be accidental
Testing it at the delicatessen
Inconclusive but cautiously implying
Trying again in the frozen section
Melting eyes again, as hoped for
Now for the checkout wait
Wait while the change is registered
There the final gaze must be long
It must belong to me alone....

Cut-Off Music
Watching the Emmys, I couldn’t help see
A glaring inequality.
When certain winners spoke too long,
The band began to play a song…

Implying, time to leave the stage;
Right NOW you have to disengage.
You do not rate a minute more,
So get a move on, out the door.

The A-list stars, though, got to speak
And might have gone on for a week,
Which proves that we should be aware
Of yet more ways that life’s unfair....

Family
Friends and relatives; those close in heart
Always there when you need them, or not
Many you see, just at holidays and such
Implying there is love, though you’re apart
Letting you feel the closeness ones can share
Yet, if never meeting, knowing that they still care

Family is more than just blood and name
It is those we call our friends and keep close by
Regardless of whether we even have met them...

Mare of Content
Grazing on the hearty lawn, Peacefully; even placidly.
Coming closer to the earth, with each mouthful.

Leaves gathered on the grass,
implying the nearing of fall.

Having few cares,
she munched along, blissfully.

Standing ominously near a fence,
nearing a tree, she fooled the onlooker

One would think
this steed was free.

Perhaps she was more free,
than you or I.

Tugging, relentlessly on each blade of grass,
she was a mare of content!...

Premium Member Wishfully Believing
Wish you could understand what I’m subtly implying,
Wish you could know what I’m secretly desiring.
Wishfully thinking alone isn’t helping,
Wishfully dreaming changes nothing.
Wishing you knew from the beginning,
Wishing you knew by now it’s you I want to be winning.
Wishfully hoping you’d feel the same,
Wishfully holding on to you in this unrequited game.
Wish you would come over to my side of this line,
Wish you would reciprocate this feeling of mine....

The Week
If Monday’s when the week begins
And Sunday’s when it ends,
Then how come on the calendar
That logic it suspends?

For Sundays show up on the left
And Saturdays the right,
Implying that week goes
Sunday morn to Saturnight.

Since many people work 5 days,
With weekends times of rest,
The Monday start is one that is
Most commonly expressed.

Yet we accept the way things stand
And honor the mystique
For, calendar or not, tomorrow
Starts another week....

His Type
The president denied the charge
As just a lot of hype
Because the one accusing him
Was clearly “not his type.”

He’s used this reasoning before
To put down someone’s looks,
Implying only gorgeous gals
Are worthy of his hooks.

But I can’t be the only one
To see what his words lacked;
Is beauty what determines
Who’s the target of this act?

It sounds like he’s admitting
That he’d only cross the line
With a woman who’s attractive;
Then the molestation’s fine....

Sending It Back
My sandwich came on toasted rye;
The toast was overdone.
Without much thought, I sent it back
To get a different one.

My husband said had it been his,
He surely would have kept it,
Implying that it was
My obligation to accept it.

Perhaps I should have mentioned
That I like my toast real light,
But serving some approaching burnt
Seemed far from close to right.

When paying money for a meal,
The least that I expect
Is to be presented with a plate
I won’t need to reject....

The Meek
THE MEEK

wild horses trained for service
ridden until their will is broken
compliant complete and grafted

Jesus said the meek are blessed
implying humility and gentleness
submission untamed or identified
God-willed rule denied incomplete

where are we on meekness scales
God not implying timid and weak
but humble compliant and broken
eternal peace He promised the meek

“The meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace”—Psalm 37:11
