Sunset
Sunset of illusions
Of day
With dusk
and night
I return
Back
To my womb
Of peace
And Love
.
.
A night
Form:
There's
an urge
to break free
of illusions,
empty traditions,
cage of desires.
There's an urge-
My spirit,
Soar!
I dream of Heaven—
I polish clouds with longings
scraping the ground bare
underneath for my liftoff
to escape from gravity
lightning thunder peals
laughter flashing smiles vanish
in a blink of eye
illusions fleeting binders
what is what was, tragedy
Myriad illusions bind and confine
Rest in the cave of our heart
Gods touch the quietus

memory joins the dots in time
akin to illusions replayed
within heart resounds bliss beat’s chime
reminding us that we have strayed
chasing a light's glow
is fraught with daft illusions
shadows grow and fade
mirages beckon off-road ~
echoes are hopes oft broken
Cloudy skies have beauty, too
Galaxies of gray with illusions of blue

Looking for joy eternal amidst illusions ephemeral
No different from a fox chasing its tail in play comical

Imagination
It colors your five senses.
To write what's not there.

relativity
evokes response
heart yet equanimous
the witness is desireless
in, within but not of
dance of illusions

You took innocence
sow seeds in maturing brain
create illusions
in the name of the father...
a lattice for prejudice.

Chasing illusions
I lived my life
turning ghosts
into knights
talking to walls
carrying inside
a strong need
to be liked.

begin with spirit
flirtation with the ego
return to our soul
the dream in between prolongs
hypnotised by illusions

Illusions
You can't believe everything you see, you just can't trust your eyes.
A picture's worth a thousand words, but they may all be lies.
Night of days
Life is short, just gone
Time is less, end is on
Nights and days, mists
Opportunities illusions
I don’t exist, life is gone
afraid to let go
we dwell in our comfort zone
in the web of illusions
befriending silence
as awareness self-aware
we discover light of Self
fear not illusions and darkness of night
dawn’s light bestows clear sight
befriending silence in stillness awake
know the rope is not the snake
Religion puts souls high in lights
Evolution cuts down these rites
Relation to ape
On the species landscape
Dynamites man's sites on the heights
Deception
By Dane Smith-Johnsen
Altered perception.
Magicians' illusions are
Cunning deception.

"Money to me has no meaning, I ignore the illusions to corrupt the real things of life we see and from within the things we truly do not need."

Still illusions or I say expectations were high

I am myself an idea
Nothing more
Writing fading words
From the deep before
Upon illusions page
The stories score
A life imagined
Nothing more.
Persuaded by time,
clothed in rust, night reveals a
lonely Halloween...
Illusions of my childhood
drift away with falling leaves
