Horseradish
Bless me horseradish
                                     Make me gassy and pungent
                                          I hate shrewd people...

There once was a chef very snobby
Who made sushi at home as a hobby
Horseradish was great
But did not please his date
So with sharkskin he grated wasabi

Delightful Snack
Roast beef sliced thin on a bun
Smeared with cheddar cheese.
In small, medium or large!
Tangy horseradish.
Special sauce for extra zeal!
Perfection.
SNACK!

Premium Member A Winter's Harvest
With long hair wrapped up, rugged nails dirt dipped,
denim overalls and barnyard boots,
I set forth to get them gnarly raspberry stalks clipped,
and return with harvested horseradish roots
and frost freshened persimmon fruits.

Premium Member I Could Never Write
I could never write a poem about
Horseradish
Dust bunnies
Nose hairs
Rat droppings
A dead roach
Cow pies
Mastication
Silverfish
Ketchup
A dirty diaper
A car engine
Naval fuzz
Cobwebs
Vampires
Microphones
Skateboards
Nail clippings
Torn limbs
I say and then I do....

Premium Member A Simple Hamburger If You Please
Sure.
Ketchup.
Pickle
Horseradish too.

Mayo
Lettuce?
That’s up to you.

Are your patties thin or thick?
Can I gobble one down right quick?

A touch of butter
A slab of bacon.

Please put them on
If mine you’re making.

Are your patties thin or thick?
Can I gobble one down right quick?...

Premium Member My New Boss
I used to eat jalapeno peppers,
 banana peppers, and
tomatoes galore.

Hot spicy and
 “oh my gosh” foods
 is what I simply and
 absolutely adore.

Prime rib? Okay
but beef cake it in
 horseradish, and I mean
 straight, not in a
 dumbed down sauce.

My ulcerated esophagus
 and spastic colon
are now apparently
 my boss....

Premium Member My Dog Sophie Made Stew
My dog took a hambone and made some stew.
With peppers, onions, cauliflower too.
We gave it a test
It was simply the best
And it made us laugh, and it made us pooh.

Sophie, what is in this fabulous stew?
Horseradish, onions, and salt that goes boo.
She would not tell us.
That little closed-mouth cuss.
It still made us laugh, and it made us go pooh....

Premium Member my favorite soup has no name
My favorite soup is my own invention
It has no name, but it is a combination
Navy beans and ham, sliced potatoes,
Onions with lots of salt and pepper.
Cornbread is a necessiity, to go under it.
If you have honey and horseradish, add it.
To the soup or the cornbread?
I do not care, both. Corn must be added too.
I almost forgot that part. It is my favorite soup, but it has no name....

I Wish I Had a Bloody Mary
I wish I had a Bloody Mary
     To come to my rescue
And quell the aches and pains caused by
     The drink I should eschew

Please make it extra spicy
With the olives, now don’t skimp
Maybe even top it off
With a tasty big fat shrimp

A bit of hot horseradish
‘Round the rim would be delightful
Then please tell why I drink
     That would really be insightful...

Hot peppers and spicy horseradish
a gut-punch to the solar plexus
 Snake venom with moldy cheese
   not tonight, if you please...

 Tadpole skins and locust larvae
   strains my stomach of iron
But a bloody Mary eggnog combo
gags the esophagus of this Hawaiian

Wonder how I developed my bizarre sense of taste?
