Looking For Something New
He was a temporary hookup
He went out like a garbage pickup
He was ugly at most
Tasted burnt like toast
Soon I'll need a medical checkup...

Don'T Act Surprised
They wanna put me on the spot
But you know I'm in the parking lot
Speaking on things you don't know
I'm on the top but my lowest low
Talking down but still gotta look up
Don't want love just wanna hookup
Never been fake never been disguised
So when I come up don't act surprised...

LIFE OF A STREET GIRL
Life of a street girl
Not easy
To survive
Always trying
To survive
Either by hookup
Or by crook.

Always looking
For a way to go
Life of a street girl
Is always tough
Very rough
Always living wrong.

Whatever she owns
Didn't comes by
Easily or for free
Life of a street girl
Very funny and crazy lifestyle.

My body builds up too much iron; My wife’s blood, not enough. We tired of going to all those docs; At night, we just hook up.
---------- *A fairly common (1:200) condition known as hemochromatosis results in iron being stored in various organs, including the liver. Undetected, it can cause serious health issues, but it is readily treatable....

Those Were the Hookup Days
In the car cubby,
Phones collide with each other
I'm feeling chubby

You build up your might
To start a play fight with me
Don't mean to be mean

As best friends and more,
We are two peas in a pod
I'm feeling skinny

You cheer me up some
We laugh and argue...cuddle...
And TMI things

Youngest in family
We are a match - say hello
Phones match, all dandy...

useful body
Erasing your fingertips.

Painting over your love.

The bruises no longer hurt, but the memories do.

Picked me up at 2, dropped me home at 11. Of course, I’m only useful in the evening. At night you don’t want my presence. Sharing a bed for the night would be admitting I was a person.

You spoke in whispers, never saying what I needed to hear.

Scars will fade and I will forget....

Only My Words
I’m covered in dirt,
but my words are still clean

A vision half dried
  with stains running deep

With sinners and saints
arm in arm at the bar

Each infection we share
  tonight’s hookup and score

Meaningless excuses
  all scandal affirmed

My bed made with sheets
  from a brothel once scorned

As I lie in the shadows
  with my soul partly damp

My words are set free
  —to the heavens restamped

(Villanova Pennsylvania: April, 2015)...

Only My Words
I’m now covered in dirt,
but the words are still clean

A vision half dried,
  their stains running deep

The sinners and saints,
arm in arm at the bar

Each infection they share,
  --- tonight’s hookup and score

Meaningless excuses,

My bed made with sheets,

And as I lie in the shadows,
  with my soul partly damp

My words are set free,
