now no longer panders
to pejorative terms like latinx....

Merry Rudolph
When asked why his nose was so red
Young Rudolph looked flustered and said:
Those elves love high jinks
and spike all my drinks:
The rum tends to go to my head!'

I wondered if a poet could be jinxed
   perhaps by switching her inks
perchance a drug to alter her thinks
or just denying her a full 40 winks...

I thought I'd find out last night
   at or around midnight
But boy, could that lady fight

Friends Come
Friends come; those amiable creatures;
But as offerings, smug-found.
Like bow-tied fawn or pony, proceed
Then to follow us around!

Boys or girls, with what stamps their needs

Are we entrusted. While pledged to
Never set loose; turn away.

That which on our doorstep was first left
To reach out, as it were, for
At the end of a day's free-roaming
Will draw breath there as before....
