all alone
in his quiet space
known as home
he survives --
despite his name, he's a friend
our cute hermit crab
hermit's shell
feeling way too tight of fit
had to go
off it slipped
as naked crab stole a conch
clad in nacre pearl
pincer-like movement
mollusc shell host shifts crab wise ~
life clings to low tide

There once was a hermit crab named Nate
Who enjoyed the solitude of his hate
Meeting a lovely lady
A sexy Texan, name P.D.
Finding true hate, trying to online date

Lazy content smile,
That you flash at me in bed,
Speaks our depthless love unsaid.
Soft anemone,
entwined to a hermit crab,
Symbiotic souls are wed!

i feel as if i am a hermit crab without its shell,
homeless with no were to live and vulnerable,
as if life were a seagull it could devour me full,
who am i is a question i am constantly asking myself unfortunately,
it is still a mystery well unknown to me,
metaphorically i am lost at sea.
salt crusted fish bone
caught within tangled seaweed...
high tide offering
hermit crab scuttles
erratically on sand...
waving eyes on stalks
opened mouthed seashells
coated with wind driven sand...
change in the weather

Rex the hermit crab carried a trashed shell
that reeked with a horribly rotten smell.
He intently scrubbed
till his claws were nubbed
then resolved to move into a hotel.

touching sands of time
dancing galavanting
in the brain
a hermit crab
popping
his head out
from the sands
alone open arms
embracing the stars
searching
among'st them
a shining soul
embers crying out to
the beauty
of it
bleeding underneath
holding in the sands
a key
building upwards
holding them out
sharing a dream
the castle
begins to build
from out of the sand
sweeping in
from the ocean
as it swells
flowing gently out
to embrace you
softly
yet
beautiful
