Anger and jealousy
Rage inside of me
Keeps me warm
Never good enough
Since I was born
Helplessness
Impotence
Let it burn me up
Scared To Reach Out
Unworthy of love
Influenced By Pain
Confused And Hurt
Impulsive For That Rush
Destructive To life
Empty.
Hell is the space between words
Endless….searching….helplessness
A raging fire seeking kindling
Lest its flame succumb
To hell’s emptiness
Tears fall, silent rain,
Heart aches to heal unseen wounds.
Hands reach, touch the void,
In the dance of shadowed dreams,
Love whispers, yet remains bound.
Row
Rivers
Retina
Through calm currents
Attribute helplessness inadvertent
To your idiosyncrasies worded
Truly certain
Your person
Perfects
Peace

God stretches out
His hand
like a blind man
wishing
to touch the air.
And there,
between
gesture and helplessness,
I am born:
a fragment of flesh
that longs
to become
meaning.
Poetry is madness
A ritual I do, but do not know.
A night that conquers,
Drunks me to helplessness.
And it kills shame,
Guilt.
It hits you like an exploding racket.
It shoots out you naked.
Death consumes her very life
Festering, slowly it eats her up inside
Darkness surronds her very soul
Helplessness slowly taking control
A way out she desperately seeks
The fading light seemingly out of reach
The hungry creative seeks a morsel but fails to get
The helplessness and lack of support makes it fret
The one that yearns to succeed seldom gets the floor to tread
The right time, the right care is always to be bred
I am dying
Every moment
Yearning for your touch
longing for your guiltless love
The potion of loneliness and helplessness fill in
And out of the empty hollow dark chambers
I am dying
Every moment
In and out

I may have no choice but to make these mistakes.
But I can at least make sure that they only affect me.
So that even when I give up in seeking help-
At least this burden of helplessness is only on me.
So that they can go on unbothered.
When the Reaper comes calling at your door
As you're struggling with chest pains on the floor
And the angst of helplessness strikes your core
That's when you realize you could have loved more
For Brian Strand's End Rhyme challenge
There is a story
A story of 1776
Mighty struggles
And what is called
Progress..with limits..
A seeming
Course of events
Rising as memory..
And senses of
Helplessness and
Of hope to
Avoid an ending..
All already This...
He fell so early from the image to the grime
And lay there, flatly oozing helplessness.
Anger, and something left of love combined,
Plunged to urge him free,
Wiped its hands and set back the idol high,
Only slightly out of plumb.
The shattering was mine.

with naught but
his own Fall design
in mind,
Refusing imaged glass
for his reluctant clientele,
insisting they trust
his ancient artistry,
Born of a driven
fate again
and again.

The Warmth Of Conviction.
What A Slow And
Penetrating Loneliness.
Isolated In
Wishless Retribution.
Helplessness
Exploited.
Representing.
Unique.
Wordlessness.

hatred growing
hands tied together
with the strings of change
helplessness grows from
within the trapped
caged need to
be in control
lack of control
has caused negative
emotions to bowl over
creating an overflowing
flood of responses that
to have been dealt with
long ago
Myself
Cold nights
Violent fights
Helplessness and fears
Sadness and tears
Feeling small
Bowing to all
Never good enough
Pretending I’m tough
Talking too much
My past as a crutch
Hating myself
My pride on a shelf
Needing approval
Ego removal
Coming to grips
Time as it slips
Oh how I want you to hold me
To let me shed my tears
That have been kept in for so long
But that can't happen
I fear that all between my past
And my future is lost
Helplessness is kicking in
I'm losing myself bit by bit
So forget me
Ignore me
Laugh at me
For all I am is a lost soul
Staring out at nothing
Feeling blank, cold, crippled physically and emotionally.
Hoping for a brighter tommorrow
Rest is not peaceful if at all
Pain in heart, joints, hands and toes
Everywhere pain
Torn between living and existing
Pain becomes an obsession to control
Ceaseless torment in soul.
Between your truth and mine
Your needs and theirs
Embedded within wanton desires
Coated with your fears and mine
We forget compassion
Lo, we lose love
We get sucked into the chaos
The chaos, the helplessness
Between your truth and mine
I find a gulf of loneliness
A valley of lies that run deep!

As my eyes dwindled on the first glimpse
helplessness racked a stifled heartbeat.
It was there I set my foundations,
my structure for a hope strong tower
that would shield you from fates cruel blows.
My love for you was evident,
it seen me through the darkest days.
You held my heart in them searching eyes.
Form:
Whenever the darkness surrounds
Me.
When weakness finds me, in this
Moment of sorrow
And the feeling of helplessness
Traps me within my inner self..
Oh God please let your presence
Anoint me..
With the power of your strength
And Love..
Activate my soul….
Tis I will inherit my heavens
Grace…
In vile defeat I confided to helplessness
I cringed knowing I know so little
As inadequate as I am I felt responsible
I felt responsible to know everything
In this mentality I suffered long nights
Over thinking myself and overlooking life
Until I gave up the pain for a little while
And took a deep, dark look to the other side
