Heavenly Words
Say seven words
to send me heavenwards
heavy holiness heats
as the heavens turn
I hope in hell
that you horribly burn...

Starry Night
Starry starry night, multitudes we see

Countless stars reaching out, on to infinity.

Mystery of mysteries, such wonders do you show

The secrets that you keep, mere mortals cannot know.

Heavenwards we gaze, imaginations taking flight

How we marvel at the universe, on a starry, starry night....

Heavenwards
I don't think I'll ever tire
Of looking to the sky at night.

Being thoroughly inked by an indigo thumb,
Being verily blessed with an absense of light.

In a snippet of silence in the shade of the sun,
Where light bulbs and flames are the faltering ones,

One's size and position become obselete,
As echoes of ages are laid at your feet....

Premium Member Climbing the Stairway
Climbing the Stairway I miss my youth
each step a struggle with arthritic pain
As I grasp the handrail to steady myself
I remember that boy who out ran the wind
the young man who dance away the nights
The man who would walk ten miles
to see his heart's desire
More stubborn then the pain
I win the battle up
accepting my life
One step closer heavenwards...

The Seasons
Spring

Green buds on beach trees
Bluebells carpet forest floor
New born baby cries

Summer

Sleepy afternoon
Fly humming at window pane
Cornstalks bent with gold

Autumn

Ghostly morning mist
Blue smoke curling heavenwards
Incense of burnt leaves

Winter

Starry velvet sky
Silent snowflakes drifting down
Wolf howls at the moon...

Premium Member Joy Ineffable
Giving up struggle,
with love let’s snuggle;
our heart joyful thus,
aboard God’s bliss bus.

Plot not loss or gain.
Striving is in vain.
Touch divine cherish;
all else will perish.

Love quenches our thirst,
felt as a bliss burst,
if we’re here now still,
aligned with God’s will.

Bliss rapture untamed,
just cannot be named.
As heart lotus blooms,
soul heavenwards zooms.

Turn the Flame To Maximum
I boarded my hot air balloon
And set my sights on high,
I turned the flame to maximum
And headed for the sky.

Below, the land receded
As I joined the mighty blue,
The sky was my ocean,
Heavenwards I flew.

Earthbound things now disappeared
I embraced serenity,
As I sailed the atmosphere
Contentment called on me.

Alone, but not lonely,
Detached, but still aware.
Truly I'd found heaven,
As I drifted in the air....

Lonesome At the Sea
Lonesome at the Sea

Thundering waves,
sky high,
Spray like drunken pearls,
blended rainbow colours,
breaking through clouds.

Veils of the night,
still sleepy
in early morning's light
fade timidly
in banks of clouds.

Driftwood,
days like driftwood
submerge
in currents,
arise anew.

The water's colour
disperses heavenwards
A single whitish sail
plays hide and seek
behind some crests of waves.
Silent hours
lost at an empty beach....

Robin, Rook, Swan and Dove
A robin its breast as red as cherries

The rook in mourning dress,
Its nest in the graveyard tree,
Cawing in sympathy to tears of distress,
Looking down sadly on misery,
Hoping its young do not see.

The long necked swan swims,
So elegant on water,
Its beauty supreme;
On land it looks ungainly:
A beauty queen in jack boots.

No sacrifice, the dove coos love
Snowy body soaring heavenwards.
