Green money flowing foolishly to promises un pure.

Green turning into greener days of greed....

when they won't accept a credit card. 
Forget checks, or even gold dust. 
They want those greenbacks that say "In God We Trust". 
Goods and services are rendered each day. 
However, cash is their only payment way. 
Those legal tender pieces of paper are what they want today.

This cowboy's life don't make you rich
The green is pretty thin

Now I could take my three dollars -
An' that's the whole dang pot -
Then ride to town and have a beer
Or maybe I might not

Think I'll ride home and take a nap
Monday's sure to foller
Prob'ly spend it in the saddle
Sittin' on three dollars

Ever wonder why we giggle
How exactly does it start
What makes it uncontrollable
Perhaps it's a silly fart

You see a goofy stranger
Like a dude from outer space
Before you can say Frank N. Stein
You're falling on your face

Giggles are quite intangible
You can't buy them at the store
Worth buckets full of greenbacks
Some gold and so much more

You're in a state of euphoria
Trying to stay calm but can't
It's a tonic for whatever ails you
When ants get in your pants
