Three Greenbacks

There's three greenbacks in my pocket Most I have had was ten This cowboy's life don't make you rich The green is pretty thin Now I could take my three dollars - An' that's the whole dang pot - Then ride to town and have a beer Or maybe I might not Think I'll ride home and take a nap Monday's sure to foller Prob'ly spend it in the saddle Sittin' on three dollars 3-14-19 Contest:Green Humor Rhymes Sponsor:Carolyn Devonshire

Cowboys don't earn a lot of money, but as a child growing up this is the career I wanted to pursue. LOL Especially enjoyed the cowboy lingo, Larry. Congratulations on your win! There were many great entries, so you should be proud of your achievement. Best wishes, Carolyn

Hilarious! I had to figure out what greenbacks were. I thought they were ten's, now I see they are one's. Good luck in the contest. Your sense of humor shines forth in this one.
