Alone
Wisdom: a cliché,
a soul left undernourished
as ignorance gloats....

Cold Breath
winters brisk wind gloats....
how silly I look in coats
crackly raw sore throats...

Rapturous Shine
The contours are mine
The incense is thine
When the petals do float
This heart never gloats
Illumined and divine
This rapturous shine
Is sure
Merciful and benign--

Premium Member A Quote That Gloats
Here's something Joseph Stalin said
Whom we are all glad is decades dead

"It's not who votes that counts
~ It's who counts the votes"

That may have been true in the USSR
But not, of course, where free people are...

with dusk approaching
the radiance of the day
melts in the rain

streetlights smear
the autumn colours
across the footpaths

doubling the display
of chromatic foliage
autumn gloats

Premium Member Know Yourself
Slow start
Grooms grand art

Just delve
Know yourself

Faith sees
What will be

Hope floats
As fear gloats

Love comes
True joy sums

Dreams grow
As blooms show

Do good
In all moods

Truth shows
Yourself know

Why start?
Soul moves heart

Dwelling Place
A heart that bleeds
at a friend's misfortune,

is a soul so pure.

a heart that gloats
at a friend's misfortune

is a soul so odious.

both good and evil are
conceived in the chambers of the soul.

the one you feed,
makes your soul a dwelling place.

when in doubt,

feed the one that walks with
kindness, love and peace....

Premium Member I Try To Warn the Other Muses
My imagination gloats in the sun
My muses come forth, I have more than one.
Trixie, their director, lands on her bun.
Other muses titter, thinking it is fun.

They do not know the routine of this almost Hun.
I try to warn them, but their laughing is not done.
When Trixie gets up I yell to them “BETTER RUN!”
They get it and scatter running out toward the sun....

Premium Member Symbiotic Relationship
they sandwich together in an oddly weird way
barely touching, as if a bit afraid of each other
sand has lost her solar rays from the day before
sea gloats a bit, bringing her a touch of discomfort

a symbiotic relationship, they tolerate each other
one giving way to feet and fingers in a gritty way
the other allowing humans to dive into her depths
sand and sea, partners, together, yet vastly apart...

Rough rhymes

Meet mine

Touch thrills
Warm will

Joy juice
Mild muse

Tale tells
Dream dwell

Jazz joins

Free fall
Apt all

Moon meek
Sight seeks

Fun floats
Grief gloats

Keep kind
Move mind

Bloom bright
Sure sight

Odd oomph
Buzz boom

Premium Member Silly Bluff
Scent spills sift
White wine whiff

Sound sleep saves
Big blooms brave

Rest ripe roar
Sleek sounds soar

Set sure style
Mist moves miles

Race ripe rest
Feel fear fest

Crude crisp creed
Bright blood bleeds

Buzz breaks boom
Gripe gloats gloom

Note nerves nice
Sprint sour spice

Sense strange stuff
Blind boast bluffs

Premium Member Silent Scream Nightmare
Experiencing the dreaded silent scream again.
Doing my best to holler out my anxiety.
I may have a heart attack I think.
My heart is racing like it just lost the Triple Crown.
Fear has me incapacitated.
This nightmare is perpetually long.
I cannot handle much more of it.
I have a stern talk to my imagination upon awakening.
You are going to kill me for real! I warn her.
She smirks, gloats, and flits away, ignoring my requests.
Reminding me of my children....

Premium Member Alaska Glaciers
Glacial hills rise elevating fervid sights

Mesmerizing desires adorned turquoise blue

Arousing cobalt passions in sapphire heights

Floating cotton balls on melting cyan hue.

Above your scenic view gloats the sunlit sky

Lifting eager vibes upon hearing my sigh

Urging the frozen glaciers to woo romance

Embracing zealous emotions held in trance.
