In the Yard I was serving my time
When they launched a new ship of the line
Four funnels had she
And as big as could be
She sent shivers right through my spine...

Tender
alive and well
she rides the crescent moon
chasing flower fairies
light funnels downward
foot first to the floor’s
weathered roots
facing mirrors unfold the tender bean
before the silent breeze
her unsuspecting guest...

Life Is Like a Breeze-
TANKA
Life is like
Life is like a breeze
it flows and funnels flies free
yet tangible not seen
while in its midst the solemn
solid physical body

Dead End Plight
Dead end plight
Nothing of anything is nowhere in sight
Emptiness funnels from days into nights
Change is frozen, darkness fragments the light
Limbs are splayed and bound too tight
Senses are closed, only time is left to fight

Rain With Fog
Rain With Fog
Drip, drip, dripping oak leaves like funnels
Carry fog’s cool moisture downward to rest
Caw, caw travels slowly does not scuttle
Roosters seem assured by this heavy air test
As their cock-a-doodle-dos carry from the hollow best...

Insanity Breakdown
Insanity breakdown
And promisses made
Having for breakfast
The truth of cascade
Television news
All of our fears
Wandering beatles
No need for tears
Competetive thouthts
And crowded tunnels
Soundproof thunder
Causes the funnels
Stillness and lightness
Boggles the brain
Powerless moments
Makes us insane...

Diminishing Hex-On-Verse
DIMINISHING HEX-ON-VERSE
A hex on this verse
how could it be worse
tongue in cheek or terse
potion to reverse
a poetic curse
quivered arrows
wingless sparrows
Sphinx and Pharaohs
distant gallows
funnels bend
wordless blend
poems end
contend

Catalan Interlude
She tucks long hair behind her ears,
lifts him over dark breakwaters,
their eyes closed, she funnels him
into her purse seine.
Fingers fit watery gloves,
olive oil and rose water,
flavors spill over
Catalan rain clouds,
a musky tarragon,
a salty lamina
folded through
anemone fingers.
Later they watch a topaz sun
ride over waves
as it dips for darting anchovies....

Earth's Beating
it’s truly the end
the meteorites smash in
terror failing land
funnels develop
destroying once loved places
creating chaos
next the wave comes in
an enormous primal death
killing everyone
there is nothing left
as the sun slowly rises
to see Earth’s beating

Solstice
Flow
The way skin
funnels desire
towards spiritual slopes
and thighs
detour
around
the dopest of dope
I fell into hope
wishing I could
stay there
indefinitely,
Faith may have
saved me,
after man
named me
but God
gave me a face
I could not deny
Mornings
with you
are quickly becoming
my soul's
solstice
Neither the lowest of lows
or the highest of
highs can keep me
from reaching
That sweet, my oh my...

In Pieces
In pieces
A year after I was born,
or so it goes,
I might have been feeling like...
It feels like..., at least...???
Con and fused and willingly.
And with one big, really big black heart of mine,
with two scopes for an eye
and two funnels like an ear, wide open.
All of that machinery of mine,
for all that wants
to get in.
And now as an adult,
I still want to get in.
And I do get in, ...
In pieces.

Tangent
Poise aligns voice
Choice between noise
Light in clear sight
Flight beyond plight
Stare at bold dare
Flair funnels fare
Live as you give
Grief utters brief
Thrill in fine will
Feel surreal fill
Joy knows sound ploys
Toy with stuff coy
Speak of grand peaks
Seek to be meek
Date your sure fate
State wonder's gate
Room where love grooms
Bloom without gloom

Catalan
She tucks hair behind her ears,
sheen gathers, raven is the light of her.
She lifts him over dark breakwaters,
eyes closed, she funnels him
into her purse seine.
Fingers fit watery gloves,
olive oil and rose water, flavors spill.
Catalan rain clouds weep their sweet moments.
A tarragon musk, a salty lamina folded through
anemone fingers. Gestures flex and unwind.
A topaz sun rides over evening waves,
dips for darting anchovies, sinks into memory....

Taking Time
The twisted tunnels and funnels of time
fend with the arcing arrows of truth
As gravity and comedy compete for attention
In a one way foray of racing life
As some hang and lean above speeding wakes
screaming with the absolute joy of it
others lay back and watch the ever-changing clouds
looking back at what might have been
That never can be
influences of how
In the nuances of now
Sails billow as lines are re adjusted
To shade the setting sun
And I find a tiller to lean on...

Sky, What Are You?
The grazing sheep in blue
The puffs of white breath
The Simpsons’ scene
The artist’s wrath
The floating dream
The anger of Zeus
The funnels and swirls
The nightingale’s muse
The daydreamer’s playground
The shepherd’s delight
The picture taker’s bait
The Milky Way night
The poet with honey
The rumbles and clap
The astronaut’s gate
The mariner’s map
The loved ones in heaven
The drink for the land
The drought’s call of death
The home of God’s hand

Tripping
The bike rolls up mountains,
thunders forward on the revving edge
of orgasmic storms.
Trip-taking is boring,
flying nowhere on a Harley,
like urgent sex,
is hard core
also the way a dandelion seeds
on the breath of the wind
is hard to the core.
The bike gets lighter
as the biker funnels through
narrow tunnels of speed -
danger-pleasure -
verge riding.
Leather and oil
mixing it up,
fumes
gulping daylight
down
into the cast-iron engine
of a throbbing moment....

River Knowledge
The river is not wide
but it is violent,
it funnels down from the mountains
like a running horse.
You can park your car
at 'Overlook' landing
to watch the river stampeding.
If you're a local
you know that
there's white water ahead
before it leaps over
'Baker's Falls."
Beyond that cataract
your parked car
forgets how to chase down roads,
you have to reset the GPS
urge it to backup,
it's like it understands
that only the river
knows where it's going
from here.

Nature Communion Hs
trees in grey-green garbs
cuddle creepers and climbers ---
constant coitus
beside painted sky
doves parrot sparrows and hawks ---
conduct chirp concerts
trickles of torrents
the babble of breeze in booze ---
flowers in frenzy
rainbow spread meadows
floral funnels and tunnels ---
sapphire stones and rocks
cosmos is on a mission
of harmony ignition

Flood Matter To the Food Panel
Soon, they shall flood matters channel
To the formed five-man panel:
East Town's urgent need of good spade
That shall into big waters wade
And arrange useful bridge,
As one drowns and next is the fridge.
East's Generator to suck flood
Like mosquitoes would sleepers' blood
No Government's fast attention,
A sad picture's odd retention
Yes, pavements, too, at the junctions
Waters there need interruptions...
East's flood zones to face big tunnels
Or if you wish Trillion funnels...

Questions
Six friends on the road:
Each to tally loads...
'Why' asks why with poise
Why funnels more choice
'How' asks how with gaze
How channels grand daze
'What' asks what with haste
What flavours fond taste
'Where' asks where with sight
Where troubles urge flight
'When' asks time with space
When motions true face
'Which' asks which with find
Which notions flood mind
Questions most curious
Inspire style furious
