The Craft (Freeverse)

The understanding of natural energy
and how one change vibrates,
echoing through time and space
in transferences of power, but--
do you dare disturb the universe?

Up and Then Down

As the world turns
adjustments are made.
Spinning around as life enviably moves up and then down -
Heard without much sound.
Unless one listens closely to the noises which are created from all which surrounds.
UP and DOWN.

Words of Poetry (Freeverse)

I found love
in words of poetry
I found you
so near yet so far away
So close
I hear your heart beat
pulsating with my own
So distant
more than hopes can dream
I found you
my fate
my destiny
now I wait
for you to find me

The Second Stage of Grief

The cold air brushes my cheeks
My fingertips glide on glass
It doesn't feel like anything at first
It feels numb
The lights in my life shine but the moment of warmth
It crawls back through my spine
And my body cries for you

Old Guitar (Freeverse)

Pick up your old guitar,
find the soothing chords,
plucked notes or rhythmic hum,
voice your lyrics by firelight.
Bard, sing the songs of love,
where none can dance tonight
but don't dare give your heart away,
take your place in destiny.

Daffodils and Wild Horses

cast me your leftovers
     I'll make daffodils
                 of them

  lend me your broken bits
        I'll weave them into
  something whole and striking

  confide your loneliness
      we'll race with wild horses
   then waltz in moonlight

Insomnia's Curse

chronic insomnia cripples
its bubble of distortions guts my day

                    deprived of sleep
        the ordinary appears horribly difficult
                     the extraordinary
                   becomes impossible

more

We always ask for more-
More money, more food
More time.
The world's clock
Spinning ever too quickly.
But time heals-
The heart especially
Is mended only as such.
So while everyone wants this clock
To slow down
I wish it would hurry up
And get to healing.

Bare Annihilation

Bare annihilation vanquished before the wind breathed her in. First impressions clear, lasting, only to shred the contract she composed for one. How? Questions that have many answers; none of which carry relief to the seeker.

Somnus

Elude me, sleep,
like a scorned lover
who leaves me breathless,
chest tight,
gripped with vines.

Leave me, sleep,
alone in the void,
not one sense available
as I hang,
immobile in purgatory.

Call me, sleep,
vibrant siren in an inky sea,
I fall to your whim,
oblivious,
into your arms.

Angel Numbers

Time keeps going
My love keeps ticking
My hands keep revolving
Over the numbers shared

With you

For a moment
My little hand
Stopped and stood still
On a 9
Imagining a cloud beneath me

I’m floating
This is how you
Make me feel

I looked up
Met you at 11:11
We reset

Time begins again….

No Breath of Joy (Freeverse)

one candle lit
set apart
for my tears will not apologize
I am dead but alive

no amount of time can pass
from this anniversary to the next
the heartless affects of years bring no ease
no air, no breath of joy

AIDS stole my heart that day
I can’t hold you anymore
my adorable son
arms like my heart
empty

.

Home of Coal

The darkness that follows, a shadow on my name, creeps beyond the door of my brains frame.
Within the silent cave were my pain may sleep, a violent volcano and my heart it keeps.
The bubbling lava waiting to erupt, an escape from this world I see as corrupt.
My words may seem empty to a hollowed soul, so I shall remain in my home of coal.

Lost Hope

Blatant chaos. Colorful lights mark our path.
Distant waves confuse my sight.
Heads driven into madness, minds broken.
Avoiding the edge. Lost in silence we found our souls.
Vibes of mint and echoes of lemon.
Wake from your dream, I am deeply amused.
Venting ash from cosmic depressions.
Quantum fear descends the tension.
Life is great, I have learned my lesson.

Ocean Walk

under a delightful moon
air silvermist due to drizzling rain
  a pale patina rode wavetops
              of the mystic sea

creamy waters washed across my feet
depositing opaline conchs, whelk egg cases
and bits of purple fan coral
  oceanic generosity
          fueled my thankfulness
      as the horizon's apricot blush
                  announced sunrise

Untitled Freeverse

When everything is about to crumble,
Retreat,
When you are sheltered within that pliable form which surrounds you,
Stay tacit,
If all seems as if 11:11 will never reach your life,
Speak out,
When hallowed words strike with a silver tongue,
Battle,
Fight the fights you wish to win,
Never let yourself down or give yourself up,
You but know you before you can begin to be you.

Utopia - Mavbe

There is a place tucked away, in dreams, a land where they'll come true, my destination, my plan is to wake up one day. and find that it will be realised, a land with no borders, a world where all is one. and one means together, everybody having fun and everything is free, one day, with you I agree, somewhere a place so far away from here, Utopia, maybe?

Immersion

my liquid imagination
sweeps past boundaries
and risks the depths

in a moment
stolen from chaos
spirals of light
defy form
and warm my senses

there is blue
I'm sure

the blue that belongs
in peace
and it came to me
beyond reasoning

through a veil
of preconception
it yawned
and stirred

I became it
we became one
no need for answers
as if......
no question could occur

Shadows Dance (Freeverse)

Silhouettes behind curtains,
reach upward
into the illumination
of moonlight,
and dance the tango of dreams.

Velveteen wings
briefly touch sparkling gems of tomorrow
while filigree legs curtsy
and welcome a new day.

Empty eyes kissed by the Witching Hour
silently retire within unfolding dreams
for love, she was with me today
while we talked of things to be,
yet I was already in tomorrow.

Pigeons of thoughts

The Pigeons of Thoughts
The pigeons of thoughts fly in joy
only to settle on the ground.
My heart beats with joy like a child
to scare the pigeons,
to see I am in control.
The sun watches my childish play.
It is a witness to my rise and fall,
very much like the pigeons.
I capture the scene
and imprison them in my mobile.
So do my thoughts,
which fly high
and come back within me.

Hollowed Home

My fingers have become numb from writing about my pain, this notebook has become my solitude, something to keep me sane.
My soul feels so thin and on the verge of empty, caused by the hurt of all those that left me.
Maybe I'll find some place where I can feel the warmth again, but my question is not only where but also when?
Maybe I should accept this sad, hollowed home, a place I've grown to hate and always feel so alone.
