Insomnia's Curse

chronic insomnia cripples
its bubble of distortions guts my day

                    deprived of sleep
        the ordinary appears horribly difficult
                     the extraordinary
                   becomes impossible

on a lighter note, one may write poems or read them, perhaps encouraging sleep. Susan as a one-time YOGA teacher, just breathing softly and WATCHING YOUR OWN SELF EXHALE & INHALE ... calms one enough. i can share more later. shalom, shalom for Jesus' healing breath

Without a good night's sleep everything becomes irritable! can't focus, can't communicate! an insomniac is really becomes a cripple! your words touched the core of the problem exactly! Thanks - Marshall.

You know that of which you speak, it seems. You are so right! I hope this doesn't happen to you. Much thanks for your thoughtful feedback.

Hello Susan, a lot of people suffer from this lack of sleep. I drink Lavender tea before bed time. This tea makes you sleep. Enjoy your day my friend. hugs.

Yes, I am certainly not the only one. Thank you for commenting! I have tried many drugs up to this point and they only buy me 2 hours. I have lavender oil and scent in a candle. I take 10 mg melatonin along with a drug whose side effects are sleepiness. I still get about 4 hours...not adequate.
