I wish you warmth and sunny days,
and stuff like that, and anyways,
I fondly hope that your attire
is a shirt fresh from the dryer.
Ah, Prom! I remember it well
how my excitement did swell
Would I be asked by a girl or a boy
or maybe an ‘undecided,’ oh joy!
She always falls for boys
Who only ever
Show kindness
In its shallowest form.
She has not seen
The depths of what
Kindness could hold.
Oh, Cupid,
With your sharpest arrows,
Life’s most fond memories
You have
On
My heart engraved!

I remember when we used to vote
at that time people also wrote
books, letters, diaries of their thoughts
But none of that in school today is taught
Fond of Food
By Franklin Price
4/16/2016
Fond of foods that flood the mouth
With salivation sweet
Candy's dandy for dentists too
When we have some sweets to eat
(inspired by the poetry of Li Bai)
Beer I sip from a can
Stars tremble in my telescope
Drunk, I rise to fetch another can
New stars have entered my scope

Shall we go to places far away;
Open horizons different days;
We will dream constantly;
And build fond memories;
Together you and me;

We were fond of breezes
Shadows in the desert
Crystal lakes on mountains
Dollars in the sand

My body ages…
as words stay young
Mostly written,
but often sung
Fond memory’s child…
youth starts to rage
All gray outside,
blue-blonde the page

Fond Of A Blond
What I did was to have waved a wand;
Before me appeared a beautiful blond;
Was fond of.
And did love;
Now brunette when blond washed off in a pond.

#1: FOND
Feel how peace feels in time and space,
Opt joy that knows the path of play;
Note that deep thrill of song and rhyme,
Dance as swirl shows upon the way.

Quatrain #723:
FOND
Feel poise of change in burst of light,
Opt the new range of poignant sights;
Now see the strange emerge with fest,
Dance sensuous range of happy flight.

Without these we could not walk,
Could not reach
Could not stand
Or sit or
Talk
Without these skeletons would be naught.
Bones
Bones
Bones
Bones
Bones
Bones
Bones
Bones in my window
Bones in my stew
I am pretty fond of them
How about you?
I had never been fond of succulents
They are usually a dull green,
Shaped in the same way with stiff petals
Hens and chicks, we used to call them in Iowa
But today I saw some new ones.
They are purplish blue, a gorgeous color
I have changed my mind now
FOND FAREWELL
Says she
Farewell, come back
To me
I’ll wait
Please do not be
Too late
He’s sure
They’ve never met
Before

Applaud apt act
Leave lazy lack
Lift lively link
Indulge in ink
Tell tender tease
Etch endows ease
Rich risk resigns
Art aims align
Troubles thrust think
Impulse in ink
Only odd one
Now never none

If I liked to be poked and was fond of needles
I might entertain the idea of a tattoo
a tiny green dragon wearing a jaunty tam
an orange mushroom house with pink flowers
a 1959 navy blue Cadillac with red leather seats
But I do not like to be poked and I am not fond of needles
Not a view of the future
Or a take on the present
Simply recollections of the past
Truth or fiction?
Anecdote or fact?
Looking warmly back
Good things not bad
Imparts hope
Always fond memories prevail or do they?

Merry is the way you spin me around, its no hard sell
Just you and I enjoying time on a two-person carousel
I heard no sound when that heartwood tree fell
Focused only on your sweet scents to which I smell
You're proof that pennies are worth wishing to a well
Your lips touching mine, till our next fond farewell
I love running to your embrace
And the way how each other, we chase;
I love the feel of you around me
And the way you keep coming back to me;
You always give me joy and peace
Any sadness I have, you make it cease;
I long to be with you now
The only question is, How?
You are far away, out of my reach
I miss you so much, oh beach!
I wait for the sun to rise,
I hold his wings in my hand,
Thinking of the good times,
Hoping they come again,
I hold his wings in my hand,
Surrounded by those I love,
Hoping they come again,
In search for the new day,
Surrounded by those I love,
Thinking of the good times,
In search for the new day,
I wait for the sun to rise.
