Welcome To the Fold

The homeless slept out in the cold
Because all the preachers loved gold
Until they could see
Its better to be
Pocketing large banknotes that fold

Fold in and away

Clouds of my soul drift and sway

Koi in deep waters.

Two-Fold Oneness

when, by the hint of smile in your eyes,

you welcomed me as part of your 'us' ,

invited me to belong to your 'we' ,

I ceased being I, myself, me.

The Honey Fold

A ram ready to love the wind in the tree
Roused by the action of the sea
Intellectual walker on a tightrope of glee
Emotional and warm as honey fanned bits bee
Stinging fire to the eyes, preserving privacy

Couldn'T Fold What Was Out There

Couldn’t fold what was out there
Underneath
Long enough to keep it hidden
And I spilled it carelessly
Hoping for a remedy
To soothe what couldn’t be
Relieved
And found salvation
In the palm of your
Hands

'Returning Ten Fold'

He who gives
to the needy
lends to
the Lord
What the moment
forgets
Heaven
remembers
Fortuitous
bounty
awaiting
us all
When giving
not taking
eternity
— tendered

A Two-Fold Epic

I'll never look back
I don't want to see
You're still waiting for me
Secrets
Meant to be Kept
Never will be
From prying eyes
I'll go alone
To escape being told
It was a mistake

No aesthetic expression for selfishness

To a Fold

Even with all
The inhibitions'
And repercussions' for
        Us all,
The world is regent'
    And eventually must
           Be fall
Be it God's work
     Admit the Devils'
Peril, Yes
    We shall see
A new world

Rainy Days Are Fun

Rainy days are fun, except for me who catches a cold,
Rainy days are winter's best friends, they fit like a mold,
Droplets in rhythm, I long for a flood,
                      I get a shower,but end up in a fold.

In the Fold

The walls are four-square grange-hall
brown. We sit in folding chairs engineered
to hold a body in place. We sit here
like the law of possession.

Could I wither into a seed so small
I’d not be seen? Could I find a plot of soil
where I might grow?

Heart's Fold

Heart’s Fold

Between the chapters
of before and after---
memorial’s rose

A withered reminder
still holding its scent
caressed in pages
that still remember
love lent

Between the paragraphs
of now and then---
heart’s fold

I Can'T Fold Down These Fallen Stars

I've eaten enough stars in my dreams to know that the wishes leave a unique aftertaste. Something akin to spoiled blueberries and lilypads. I knew my dreams were vivid but this is too much for my stomach to handle. I wake up as if I were falling, losing last night's dinner on the way down.

Fold Form Poetry - Climate Change

Climate change, a threat! All bookies odds are odds-on, Would one want to bet? Look, can you not see sorrow? Climate change a threat! Wildlife, that was, disappeared! No good now regret! Natures warnings all denied! Build your own rocket. The clock near to striking doom! Climate change a threat!

Come Into the Fold

C-ome into the fold,
H-ome of the true sheep;
A-lmighty God is calling you, so wake up from your sleep.

P-romises of the Lord
A-re reserved only for the flock;
C-losed door of the heart
H-as finally been unlocked.
E-ternal life is in store,
C-herish the faith more than gold;
O-n the twenty-fifth of May, come into the fold.

With these eyes, I can see
That you are stunningly beautiful.

With these ears, I can hear
The kindness in your voice.

With these nostrils, I can smell
The aroma of your presence.

From head to toe, I can feel
The warmth of your loving touch.

With my myriads of taste buds, I can
Taste the sweetness of your spirit.

Remain Inside the Fold

R-emain inside the fold,
H-andle your faith with care;
E-vade the false religions
A-nd wrong ways everywhere.

C-hrist has built His Church,
A-iming to save mankind;
B-e firm and steadfast
I-n leaving the evil behind.
L-et the thirtieth of June
E-nhance the hope you hold;
S-tay strong in truth and love, remain inside the fold.

Fold Your Knife

heart pierced by
the intensity of your eyes
the depth of your soul
wasteland of love
fold your knife
let us unite
your hair
aroma of virgin
coconut oil
and sandalwood
thick and curly
fold your knife now
let us be one
break your roots
forgive the past
your lips twisting
meat of pink
fold your knife
let us explore
unseen heaven

The Fold

say what you will
in the guarding of ages
protecting the old
from the new of the young
they never stand still
these modern day sages
proclaiming the bold
with the measure of none

these garden gates
swing wide the hinges
to free the young
from the rust of the old
time will not wait
for this day to begin with
an invitation to come
join in the fold

In Every Fold

every fold
every curve
deep mystery
green verve

as the eyes
roam the summits
beauty turns up
shapes allure

waves rising
clouds on mounds
waves descend
fogs in the waist

ascent and descent
an exciting dance
once over
a deep trance

uphill journey
downward return
cups of tea
thorns and flowers

deep in the gorges
Babylonian darkness
your and mine
for a bath in light

In Heavens Fold
David J Walker

The last voice he heard
Or hand upon him felt
The last brush of fingers
Through his hair in
Loving grooming dealt

The last smile his eyes
Before the night would see
Before the calling
To the light of eternity

The loving grasp to steady
His last step
From daughter to
His mother’s side now swept
in loving arms the father/son
Now kept
In heavens fold

You've been sucked into the black hole of yourself.
The laws of love and self-respect are displaced.
By cinderblocks, soot, and indifference.
A drunkard's facade, where flowers never grow.

Your puffy yellow chick will follow you into your hell.
It has no choice. It's trapped in your free-fall.
Until it grows old enough to retrieve its wings from your darkness.
Until then, it will suffer...ten-fold.
