In Heavens Fold
Listen to poem:
In Heavens Fold
David J Walker
The last voice he heard
Or hand upon him felt
The last brush of fingers
Through his hair in
Loving grooming dealt
The last smile his eyes
Before the night would see
Before the calling
To the light of eternity
The loving grasp to steady
His last step
From daughter to
His mother’s side now swept
in loving arms the father/son
Now kept
In heavens fold
