Around Here
my black kitty near
the tackle box and fishnet
quick curious paws

storm and computer
screen aglow with my poetry
saved from power surge

clock on the wall ticks
my flytrap needs some watering
abandoned cobweb

picture of children
calendar needs to be changed
my womb is empty...

Trapped By Venus
I have yet ,the fruits ,of true love taste
nectar sweet, in arms reach chase
tangled branches flowering leaves
fresh shoots rooted continue weave
imagined fantasy long forseen
within' loves fold I haven't been

I trust to dare become ensnared
from locks 'n lashes mystery swear
take flight on wings my vision wraps
a prisoner caught as venus flytrap
at once succumb from weakened fate
my taste for love now overrate.........

That's Fur Out
An ostrich can outrun a racehorse,
And their eyes are bigger than their brains
The only birds that have but two toes
Some may even have saddles and reins!

On the old Batman TV series
They added Aunt Harriet, for they
Feared, two bachelors and a butler
Might have overtones of being gay!

Cricket chirps in fifteen seconds
Plus Thirty Seven's the temperature!
The Venus flytrap eats mostly ants,
And tigers have striped skin, not just fur!...
