Fly Hi
Kamala Harris laughed outright
At Donald Trump flying his kite
For Trump's ding-a-ling
Was caught in the string
The only up Trump had all night...

Pathless
Mob tries to set
ablaze a Taj Mahal
I was flying a kite.
*
Tears swell in
the eyes of moon. Paper
lamp has come for a sail.
*
The long night-
I was ready to handover my
family silver to moon.

Spring
Spring
In the Spring some flowers grow
And the waters will flow
The grass is wet with rain
Beautiful flowers we will gain
The sun is a beautiful sight
Children out flying their kite
that is what i call Spring

Zweitey Man Flying His Kite In the Muggy Skies-
There was a man from Zweite
Who liked to fly his kite
On each muggy day
The man would say
'Oh, how I miss the flight!'
There was a man named White
Who used to fly his kite
But during a break
He made a mistake
What a terrible day for White

Two Lenses
In the exuberant morning sun
Showcasing the self was an obsession
Cricket swimming jumping very high
Flying the kite high up in the blue sky
In the mellow glee of afternoon
Seeing and waiting is the mind's moon
Around your neck my arms in a loop
Relaxing happily in Poetry Soup

My Court Date Awaits
Flying a kite in an electrical storm
Frying an egg in the desert sand
Parachuting into a big, red barn
Pitching a tent in quicksand
My army training prepared me well
Stayed calm midst crises, never yelled
The consummate pro... 'til I babysat five kids one night
Said, "Go to sleep now, kids," and turned out the lights...

When the Clover Blows
Standing stones in a field of green
Countless lives, broken dreams
Where is the child
Lost to the years
Bicycle rides, flying a kite
A new dawns brightness, a twinkie’s first bite
The innocence of the youngster
A river of tears
Child grows and goes off to school
There he’s taught the golden rule
While behind their masks, idology and cries
They neglect to mention sometimes people die...

I do not know?
Carpe Diem
The mountains look down their nose at us all.
With disdain they find the facts of mans fall.
They remember those who climbed their north face.
Made it to the top then to outer space.
If only we knew just what we would find.
Alien spieces of the divine kind?
Maybe we should stick to a simple thing.
Like flying a kite or learning to sing.
There is a reason we must sieze the day.
before they find a new fangled way!...

Simon Never Said
By conviction you claim you've won dont be surprised it
only valid in your eyes I didnt say go but you did with out
my say so yes I know it's just a game yet your excuses
are very lame. If were to play I suggest a bit of obedience
here today yes I'm a bit up tight I could be out flying a kite
instead Im here oh dear let just be done with it. One more
time here we go now look its ruined once more Simon will
never say a word again....

A Perfect Day For Flying a Kite
A picture-perfect day for flying a kite
The sky was blue, not a cloud to be seen
Sunshine fairly sparkled on the snowy white sheen
that covered the meadow, the hard ground beneath
as the little boy drew the shiny new kite from its sheath
Nobody'd told him folks don't fly kites in the cold
And come to think of it, such wisdom's too old
to stand up to the spirit and gumption of a lad
~ who's got an Alpine ski-jumper for a dad...

Sin and Prayer
I am pulling out from the committed
sin, cadaver walking,
digging the gold from the pit.
Footwears of dead men were
heaped into a pile when
god was praying.
Was it a perceived tragedy
of a man drawing doodles
to offset the sunset ?
You were alone, dousing
the fire and shaping the clay. The
hamlet was less inclined to intercede.
Your flesh slips from my hands
for a rebirth. I was flying a kite.
I was dead before you were born again.

Flying My Kite of Prose
Running...running through vacant hills of prose..
Behind me, see the words trailing...
Unseen, unspoken, unwritten, wanting to soar...
Whipping behind me on a chain of hope...
My words, my voice, my heart...unlaunched...
Needing to flee, ready to be set free, seeking the sky
Yearning to fly.....
Perhaps today's fair weather will provide...
Perhaps tomorrow's ....
It will take the heavenly breezes...
That magic gust of wind to make them sail...

A Feeble Attempt At Flying a Kite
a feeble attempt at flying a kite,
i do not care i forget my troubles
the world is arsenic
the environment is sulfuric
intentions are mostly criminal
yet and still the wind is right and the kite beautifies the ambiance
the sky itself smiles at the breathtaking vision of grandeur
the embodiment of my body becomes calm and still
all that weighs me down dissolves and the wholeness of me becomes lighter
it is all due to my feeble attempt at flying a kite...

Maiden Flight
The wind on top of the mountain
Is just right for flying my kite.
No, it’s not a store bought item
I made it from old newspapers,
Elmer’s glue and old balsa wood
Spine and spar sticks from last years kite.
Now here I am again ready
To launch it on its maiden flight.
I hope the tail isn’t too long;
The bridle string is sufficient.
Well, here goes! Come on baby fly!
That’s it! You want more string? Up! Up!
Easy does it! Straighten out babe!
That’s it! That’s it! You’re on your own....
