Orange grove goddess of the Florida Keys
Citrus in her veins, rejuvenation in her step
Oozing fruity frothy saccharine sweetness
We tiptoe around her swirling juices
Fearful of her wrath if her trees dry up
She is not a nice goddess when angered
Bringing in tsunamis and other disasters
Shh! That’s her I caution the wind.
The ocean knows better than to irritate her....

The dark glare
of a winter sky flickers;
it is a cold sky power move.

We can feel the light dying,
passing away willingly.

The day was short but it rubbed us raw
and the light painted itself in grey eyes.

We turn on occasional lamps.
Secretly huddle around heartbeats.

So it ends,
nothing to watch now
except a travel show on the Florida Keys.

It may help to better ignite
the embers of home fires....

The bluest ocean I've ever seen
well in some spots there were shades of green
The Oceans apart from life's dreary breeze.
I'm talking about the Florida Keys.

I was young last time I went.
I remember the time I spent.
The blue skies , blue waters and all.
It's so picturesque, I recall.

I like to swim in waters blue
clear as glass just looking through
Coral reefs I saw so clear
as the fish swam ever near

All the sparkling oceans view
compliments the shade of Blue....
