Today
In Brussels
They took the flag away
Today
"The People" had their say
As the UK flexed its muscles
Today
In Brussels
(C) Ian Diddams 2020
Here, but not touched.
Waiting...
for none but another ending.
Figurative pages are flexed, flattened
and shadows remain ungrasped.
Breath is unready for impact.
Staring at a stationary page marker stone,
I observe the outcome.
Light
eluded in order to maintain the skin white
by darkness
has crafted
the character
flexed arms of
legacy bestowed Cross
have wipe out
everything
that didn't want to become a reason for hate
but, God adores equilibrium
that's why he created queers.
Sometimes……
Nothing stays the same
Where ever you turn
The wind
On a compass swing
Plays its’ own game
The coloured sky
A shade of blue
Flexed forward
The emotions
Of a sky too
Something to hold
For sky became….
The best thing
Kept
In your hand
Fingers to fold
A swift kiss
And through
A shade of blue
Out it crept
Give me the strength of a Woman
I'll show you
That beyond the rib of her Man
On her own two feet she shall stand
Stand tall
To show you
Her strength beyond a flexed muscle
Within her complex mind
Becoming mind over matter
What is to be gathered is her adapting ways
Allowing the conquering of inherited traits
She is both Wo-Man

You stole in unbeknown'st to me
with soft and silent tread,
You laid your hands upon my heart
and my confusions fled.
It stretched and flexed its crumpled wings
unused to flights of joy,
it tripped and skipped in gratitude
just like a little boy,
and by degrees my troubled soul
took solace from above,
my empty feelings of despair
transfigured by Your Love.
You deserve all the happiness in the world
You deserve to be loved
You deserve to be treated better
You deserve a big hug
You deserve the whole truth
You deserve to be flexed
You deserve the compliments
You deserve all the best
You deserve the peace of mind
You deserve a temporary getaway
You deserve all the love that you want
You deserve to be well
You stole in unbeknown'st to me
with soft and silent tread,
You laid your hands upon my soul
and my confusions fled.
It stretched and flexed its crumpled wings
unused to flights of joy,
it tripped and skipped in gratitude
just like a baby boy
and by degrees my barren heart
took solace from above,
my empty feelings of despair
transfigured by Your love.
A blaze of silver breached the surface,
Muscle flexed, sinew taut.
Through the raging waterfall,
Upwards struggled, strived and fought.
Her mighty tail thrusting, driving
Instinct pushing, nearly spent.
A heroic leap, she jumped again !
Over the waterfall, the salmon went.

The day grew long as I laid in the bed
with the wound you in flexed on me
I could still feel the piercing of the blade
you inserted into my heart
As it penetrated through my skin
I could feel the warmth of the blood oozing out of the cut
and ran down my stomach , then my legs
As I seen the blood hit the ground
I knew you had hurt my heart for the last time.
I read her text:
"I'm vexed and oversexed,"
"Oh no, what will my Mother think?"
I sent a text:
"Screw vexed, Baby, I'm next,"
"Bring your Mom along for a drink!"
I read her text:
"You next?, you're the one vexed!"
"You're so bad and your manners stink!"
I sent a text:
"Not vexed, just oversexed,"
"Mom might not be mad as you'd think."
AN IRRITATING BUMBLE BEE
INSISTED ON RUNNING INTO ME.
TRYING MY PATIENCE
OR SO IT SEEM.
I TRIED TO IGNORE
FOR I WAS TRYING TO DREAM.
I OPENED MY EYES
TO A CLEAR BLUE SKY.
POLITELY ASKED
THE QUESTION WHY.
AROUND IN CIRCLES
HE CONTINUED TO FLY.
HE FLEXED HIS WINGS
AS IF HE HAD POWER.
I INHALED THE FRAGRANCE
OF WILD FLOWERS.
WENT BACK TO SLEEP
FOR ANOTHER HOUR.

I'm like what's next?
I'm in the P.D.X,
so flexed-
come rain or come next,
if the weather has test,
"I say" take the heather to caress the pests-
rush in on tether's and bust up their measures,
force on them pleasures because I take care the never never and replace them with edgers...
So take out your name,
and stake out the possessed,
because what allowed us always came to be best.
Methinks there are too many GODS
One inside each head
Unable to agree on much
That is until they're dead
Some claim just one
Yet can't agree
On how that ONE
Sees you and me
Yet others herd
With twisted texts
Of humble voices
Loudly flexed
There are those
Who have not one
Yet gather Sunday's
Just for fun
The GODS sit rollicking
In laughter
Their baying sheep
Put out to pasture

The Assassin’s Love Affair
Neck thin, veined, soft
Curved sexually past the breast
The waistline lures handling
With sure fingers
Quietly the blade pinches her collar against her
Shoulder bone
Above the heart
The sweaty haired arm with its tattooed muscles
Flexed
Relaxed
The bread is cut
The wine pours thick into the crystal
Eye
Of a panting, toothless mouth
The intercourse
The razor sharp condom
The quiet lover
The cigarette.
Horse Became An Angel
Not only had we both been riding;
Smoothly through air we were gliding;
Momentous occasion soon would meet,
We did love and wanted to repeat.
Felt horse muscles as they flexed,
Not knowing what would happen next;
Another hill and dale we did pass by
Below a quant blue almost clear sky.
After wearing ourselves out died
And into sky would ride and ride
Free of all my fortune and fame;
My horse, an angel, she became.

Personally I don't like the way he gets up
Every morn sqawking, strutting his stuff around, don't like, yup
Ring leader in the morn with his self-centeredness
His behavior exudes narcism and great abrasivesness
His neck stretched, chest extended, muslces flexed ready
This Rhode Island Red crows from dawn 'til sun up and steady

A form of Poulter's Measure
Written in rhyming couplets
Silk curves buoyant
hiss in their unzipped motion
unfolding desire
chided into spaces
as distance shorten
expose to un-sheathe
the quivers
of enticement;
Seriatim sling shots
embedded within
the tremor
of high pitched
vocals
caress
the wet slips
in agony;
Chastise
moments?
but i yearn
for more
in flexed
sinew
and tightened
muscles;
Impetuous
for I breathe
warmth and fire
into your cold soul
with a smile
provoking you
to a world of
another entity?
