Drunken Moon
Life's gaze guzzler
Drowning face deep in flaked soot
shines waxing crescent....

American Life
- women dressing themselves up to resemble meat
-misinterpreted holidays
-chasing other people's dreams
    (and humping their works)
-Failing hearts
     (and collapsed lungs)
-blood flaked spit
     (in dirty ashtrays)...

Premium Member what is it
The marble block before me
Chipped away enough to look busy
Stood proudly
Dust and marble flaked
Hammer and chisel in hand

As passersby asked:
“what is it”

I told them:
” it is a thought
Lost in the illusion
Of an artists desire
To conquer
Perfection”

//what would you have told them//

Lay's Potato Chips
Crispy, crunchy, baked to perfection.
Sparkling, golden, a mouth-watering complexion.
That feeling of joy sparks through your soul,
As you reach into the overflowing bowl.
Your taste buds are totally astound,
As you bite on the chip, so perfectly round.
Lightly salted and thinly chopped,
Baked and flaked and cropped and popped....

Unsayable Pride
How proud and unmoving this winter oak
which stands erect, alone, glorifying itself--
those flaked leaves mocking autumn's request.
I observe such chilled indifference, arrogant like me

who cannot twirl like a warm bamboo and display
tender intimacies in any human relation. Aloof,
I cannot find kindness to share my own shade.

Home In January
Back with a SLAP to this British chill
Hard to find the WILL
Empty purse - can't get much worse!
Washing basket up to the brim,
Everyone on social media wishing to be thin
Unjust when other nations are perishing
We were tipsily relishing
We indulged in food and booze
Then flaked out on the sofa for a snooze!
That we have plenty is not an offence,
but a sad call now for abstinence....

Shorn of rights
What was celebration years ago
people's hearts were to their birth
I walked and plagued my mind
west was born as an after thought
supplanting all others
to pleasant lands we betrothed
the winds came gently
october sneered in a umpirish manner
friends flaked the golden daffodils
refugees shorn of rights
to the dim lands
shorn to the apology of the east
now we are alone
nothing to think

Cold Valentine's
As frigid as my heart the wind blew in
The bracing cold upon my face was nice
My veins already tart -- prepared for ice
Like darkness, filtering down where I have been.

Age is raison d'etre lost, not gained
Splintered, flaked loves long extinguished
No longer can they be distinguished
Yet the frosted fragments have remained.

For now, my tingling digits hold that broken past
The somnambulant freeze just helps it last....

Heartful
"HArTfUL"

Free from the air. Dream of the care. Love lifts light thru
cliffs of dim hazel blue drifts. Lazy wind and breeze embrace the spill from all the waste. Grey green emerald skies
lap up the white flaked night. Riffs of scales and sounds
and fables. All to see,all to believe, all together, all to gather.
Fill the void slowly.Don't let your heart overflow.

                                                                              _sky....

Premium Member Love and Hate
as sugar generates cancer
you generate the most severe feelings in me
you are my sugar, my joy,
and my cancer, my illness.

I am compelled to love you
in the midst of loathing
you are the fishhook I bite into
in the middle of a delicious slice of flaked catfish

you are the puncture in my brand new tire
while retaining your position as my new car itself

how can I love you this intensely and not despise you?
That’s the question my love.
Ah, that is the question....

Call Me In Your Seasons
Call me:

And I'll wait for the Winter.
You never left your bed.
Writing flaked out sessions.
Toppling frigid dread.

Call me:

And I'll wait for the Summer.
You never left your yard.
Writing heated lessons.
Toppling being charred.

Call me:

And I'll wait for the Spring.
You never left your porch.
Writing muddied questions.
Toppling rains galore.

Call me:

And I'll wait for the Autumn.
You never left your couch.
Writing changed confessions.
Toppling sit in slouch....
