Star Lights

Fireplaces are fresh,
Cups hold hot coffee
Flannel shirts,
Denim jeans.
Stars are night lights
Untouched snow found.

November Dreams

Chilled air swirling ‘round,
Snowflakes pirouetting down,
Fireplaces giving warmth-

Horn of plenty full,
Stuffed turkey and pumpkin pie,
Memories in the making-

The Beauty of Winter

Oh,
How beautiful is Winter?
Ice,
Rest upon the branches of trees,
Snow blankets,
Homes all around,
Birds sing,
A sweet little song,
Kids catches snowflakes,
Upon their tongues,
Fireplaces,
Gives off a calming perfume,
Oh,
How beautiful is winter.

Village Love

sordid floors
dark paths
lily scented nights
crispy country air
crackling fireplaces
shadows under the moon
sounds of the night
silence in the dark
mingling
tangoing
in perfect pitch
the harmonious beat
of intoxicating drums
the twirling dance
of dizzying
village
love

October

As fall turns, chill leans in
gently pressing warmth away
aging leaves reach a riotous peak
punching pigments everywhere.

Savory smells linger in comfort
busy stoves and fireplaces are lit
little ones dream of costumes
orange and black hues abound
until crimson leaves
break free.

Winter Time

Winter now is come to us.
Snowy days consume the earth.
Buried seeds
Lie dormant and covered up.
Animals they hibernate,
Sleeping in a burrough.
Creation braves the artic cold.
Fireplaces adorn human homes,
And frostbitten cheeks have respite.
Winter comes, and winter goes,
Like clockwork, nature's plan unfolds.

Windmills

A memory turns
   the windmills of the mind
to a season of summer breeze,
   where happiness blows
cherished moments
 into youthful hearts
    the windmill turns once more
 to a season defined by
   falling leaves
 where love endures
in hues of red and gold
 the windmill spins
   to distant winter winds
 where, by cozy fireplaces
    love finds a warm embrace
             ..

Cozy Hour

Waking up in the middle of the night,
heating the stove to make a pot full of tea.
Oh, how this silence soothes and calms me.
Looking over at the clock, it reads 11:11.
Embers crackle softly in the fireplaces light,
Settling into its warmth, everything feels just right.
Over my shoulders, a blanket is draped with care,
moments like these are beyond compare.
Every cozy hour is a treasure to keep.

Solstice and Equinox Beauty

Cloudless skies endless, gardens blooming in colors, summer solstice warm_ Love a picnic in the shade, and lazy long forest walks ! Until trees let go, of their lovely decayed leaves, to dance, fly and prance_ I love collecting those leaves, in the autumn's equinox ! Then, comes biting winds, and lacy snowflakes falling, winter solstice ice_ Cold walks with fireplaces to warm, 'till spring equinox divine !

Fun Fun

In the thoughts I have of us
We sure have lots of fun
Thoughts of us together
Thoughts of us as one
And in my wildest dreams, I've had
Big ones where snowstorms reigned,
Hot ones where fireplaces roared
And we added to the flames

But take away the snowstorms
Take away the flames
Take away what passion comes
When calling out our names
And what's left is what's important
What matters most, above
The physical, the sensual,
What matters most? The love
