Pain is like a pit of fire in my belly,
It got to be quenched or it will burn me up,
Right now, my entire body feels like jelly,
Walking on thorny paths seems to be my cup,

Pain is like this wrenching feeling in my gut,
Why do I feel like I'm stuck in an old rut?
This pain is temporal and soon it shall pass,
When in heaven, I'll sit near the sea of glass.

      Look how far he's come

      Of the corporate ladder

       The world, at his feet
   He owes a debt of gratitude
       To his supportive wife
      She was his cheerleader

There’s a fire in my belly, 
Just like a bowl of jelly. 

Its burning bright,
Bright as can be.
Just like a bumble bee.

It keeps me up
Throughout the night,
While the moon and stars
In the sky
Shine bright.
It illuminates inside of my body,
Just like a light.

There’s a fire in my belly
It feels like a million butterflies. 
I feel it day and night, 
I feel it all the time, 
And I think this fire in my belly is here to stay
And won’t ever go away....

Labels and judgments, oh so crude,
A fire in my belly begins to brood,
You scream and curse, no filter in sight,
Your anger consumes you, day and night.

Your words ignite like flames uncontrolled,
A wildfire spreading, leaving hearts so cold,
You see only darkness, no light to behold,
Your rage is a beast, untamed and bold.

But listen closely, if only you would,
Treat others kindly, if only you could,
We're all messed up, that much is true,
But we can learn, to love and to value...
