Wrangling the Fringe

The actor sells derisive fears
to ferment bald lies in our ears.
It's clear that Glenn Beck
is more than just dreck,
there's dollar-signs behind those tears.

Heaven Sent

I once thought you had been heaven sent,
but now you bring all this mad ferment.
Your crazy emotions
and endless commotions
tell me we were never heaven meant.

The Peace of the Lord

The peace of the Lord
Inner content
Down at the bottom
Of a garden
Seeded and raised, midst
Each sunned ferment;
Meek herb's; baby's breath's. *
Joyed o'er of wren.

The Shadows Are Locked Doors

The shadows are locked doors

Cellars ferment Ages

Wet wisdom drunk

By rats' charred bones

Who can tell you

He is the face

Behind the mirror

Inside your skull

The glass shines

Diamonds

Premium Member Hymn To the Flying Spaghetti Monster

We worship the meatball-breasted
Slug-eyed One
Who is fragrant with tomato sauce
Who nourishes us well
Liberates us from hunger
For the sake of full bellies
Even while the cucumbers
Ferment in the refrigerator.

Noses can remember over fifty thousand scents Only one makes our noses scream “open the vents!!!” Unpleasant doesn't say it A gasp for air we transmit Ya got three guess, okay a hint, causes fruit to ferment

Dove

On the sands of time we meet again,
Playing with fire as you melt to me;
Eyes smoke as I crave in your touch.
A wish that smile: to covet and woo?

Ferment a bit, know the truth of love
Enslaved in joys be the loving dove.

Premium Member I Drink Thoughts

I drink your thoughts

your raw emotions

I drink your smile

wry and garlicky

I let all things ferment

inside me for a while

I, in a pure, distilled

moment of vaporized

abandonment of selfish thought

am moved by you

closer to my destiny.

Chantaclair

Chantaclair
From the pleasure garden,
came the grape to ferment the vintage,
loved by pauper poet, saint, or sage.
Taste so sweet with just a hint of bite,
    nectar of the gods,
but a single bottle survives, Chantaclair.

Premium Member tender the vines

to tender the vines
they weep merlot tears
so merlot to hold
they ferment our years

to tender the cask
they reap merlot tears
to bottle and hold
they ferment for years

too tender the cask
they reap merlot fears
no merlot to hold
they ferment our tears

Sourdough

This old farmhouse kitchen
could tell its thrifty tales
of hard times, making do,
making bread from nothing –

snatching life out of air…
Snatching life out of air,

she turns wheat and water
to ferment by the stove,
and molds it with her hands
into tart, golden loaves.

butterflies ferment

ferment - to be in a state of agitation or intense activity
sanguine - marked by eager hopefulness : confidently optimistic; bloodred
sage - wise through reflection and experience

It's me, again

If i fall there will be more
With hope and love for all for sure
I pillowed my hardest thoughts so i could
hide in my dreams
I fractured my guilt so sorrow could sing
Never be content with what is missing
Always ferment your anger, permitting
Sure for what they forgot
And try to claim in the dark what they bought

Premium Member Swell

Listen to poem:
The swell is rising,
furrowing the brow of seascape,
forewarning of storm arising.
Sheer bliss for surfers,
toil and trouble incising
ferment and foreboding
on sailor's foreheads, glistening,
with the spray and froth flung
from wave-top manes breaking,
off from white horses on the bay prancing.

Enchantment of Nothing

Whisper so loudly,
And sing, softly.
Out of the darkness,
No evils will access.
Into the daylight,
So there’s no fright.
Alongside a moment,
Dreams do ferment.
Bright shiny world,
And Perm-twirled.
Die now with shame,
Blame is the game.
Hope fell from the sky,
So don’t question why.
You don’t feel this pain,
Alongside evil you rein.

Premium Member Farmer Fred's Wisdom

Saw Farmer Fred in his field bailing hay.
Stopped a moment and gave him a wave.
He shouted back and I heard him say:

“You must make hay when the sun does shine!”
“You must harvest grapes at just the right time.”
“If you wish to ferment a great wine.”
“A mustard seed of faith will still move mountains in our time.”
“Some even greater than the rocky kind.”

Rendered and Tendered

Take a sampling of interest
Dice slice spice and wrap it
Slow warm in an oven of love
Until firm with a bubbly crust
Set out to cool in evening ranges
Carefully balanced
Lest it deranges
Yearning and turning to lust
Flavor with arduous ferment and fear
Casting and sprinkling
All you hold dear
Then serve it forever
Bright clean and clear
On a platter of innocent trust

Foreign Perfume

You left
me breft,
your perfume
remains
still,
same
fragrance
that
used to
wrap
me,
yet and now
it is
somewhat sour
and foreign
at this hour,
it reminds
that
it would be
now
smelled
by another,
wore
for him
that is
now
yours,
My mind
is in torment
and ferment
agony
eyes stony
as it pervades
rather invades
me,
against my will
I feel so BAD
and dyingly sad.

Apple Barrels

On fears regarding the refugee crisis in Europe...

Some apples make cider
And some apples not
Some ferment as expected
Some do not
There may be statistics
I suspect not a lot
That predict the existence
Of possible rot
Schrodinger’s cat
Is wise to the plot
A cat in a box
Or a wolf in a cot
In the barn there are barrels
To keep cold or hot
The cider is coming
Ready or not

Premium Member Dark Desire

Dark desires nonplus,
each life breath tests us,
moment to moment ~
lust odours ferment.

Our mind-body urge
self-blocks the bliss surge;
darkness shrouds darkness,
distanced from oneness.

Fall from grace our shame.
Stupor is to blame.
We’ve a lot to learn ~
see how instincts burn.

Regret and remorse
corrects our life course,
becoming mindful
of the divine pull.

Premium Member Impressions Are Grave

Unstrung lover broke her beads. Pearls - black and blue, pure white, cream. A river of wicked deeds would release her unhinged scream. Vertiginous whirlpool’s drunk on All Hallow’s Eve. Unbent string and fine ornaments sunk. Unwound hate and pearls ferment. 10/19/2020 Contest: Impressions Sponsor: Nette OnClaud Visual #1 *to work up (as into a state of agitation)

frère dans ta chaise
c'est moi qui t'embrasse

When I die
I wont say goodbye

If you die
I shall cry

Shall we both die?
Who then opens the sky?

Flowers will bloom though
Père Lachaise knows why

When death dances
We all shall cry

I lay my head down
so to sleep

In vats of wine
dreams ferment to keep

Souls be damned
Love made us weep

I will be there
With you and the roses

Premium Member Pregnant Pause

Pregnant pause poised in wonderment, beholds how in-form nodes ferment, transmuting to became God's light, as bliss takes us to zenith height of rapture unbound, here and now, enabled when we so allow the Holy Spirit to fill us, that dark fears no longer nonplus and thus presence in the Bardo ascends by simply letting go of feeling of separateness, by entwining with That Oneness. 22-November-2022
