That fears blood
that fears hardship
that hides during sorrow
that denies duty
is fair weather cloud

Dandy lines peek through the snow
Poets needn't fair weather to grow

Two lips reach out to the moon
Kisses soft in winter as in June...

No Empathy, With Sympathy
Out of the rubble,
And through trouble.
My hopes, doubles.
Weaving together,
This fair weather.
Evil dare tether.
In mental telepathy,
Feel no empathy,
With sympathy....

When the weather is fair
Touchdowns and field goals, I cheer;
When it is stormy with a loss,
With the team I stand, supporting;

Oh ye harvest moon
hung low and ripe in the night
   Bless thou our harvest

   May all our hard work
through God’s grace and fair weather
   Reap they full bounty.

Natural Made
Birds of feather stick together,
Especially in fair weather,
Flocks up in the sky,
Three sets of wings,
They do comply,
Upon light brings,
Visions to see today,
Bright and cheery way,
Appearance upon dawn
Natural made emoticon....

Shadows
Walk when it is sunny
and a shadow follows.

Walk when it is cloudy
and no shadow follows.

When days are sunny
they flock to your side.

When days are cloudy
from you they will hide.

Watch out for shadows
and fair-weather friends,
same face of a coin!...

Sevenbits--Nature
A devoted friend he is,
Traipsing with me through Summer
And picking fruits in Autumn-
We would talk over coffee,
Recalling youth's crazed moments
Then leave in pain of Winter

Fair-weather, he is--stranger.

In Untertain Times
we are living in uncertain times
a fair weather friend a nursery rhyme
eye taunt to the fabric of the lens
let's learn to depend

history tends to repeat itself
left us wandering in a swift brigade
soft parade
in uncertain times

columns of fire
quenched for your burden of desire...

Keep the Fair Weather
J-ust keep on thinking
O-f what the sun can bring;
E-xpect the sky's blessing,
L-et the light come shining.

C-omfort and warm dawn
A-re caused by the beacon;
S-un's well and good season
E-nds the dark on the horizon.
R-ising up from deep slumber
I-s fine on second December;
A-llow the things that matter to keep the fair weather....

Old and new, rich and poor, and
those of whom you're not quite sure
school and work, and some on the block
others of whom you oughta take stock

Fair-weather or true-blue
  they've all supported you --
Yet as on your journey you wend
  how many remain your friend...

As for me and my outlook on life
the one friend I can count on's my wife...

Money
Money!
Dumbfounded means
Perceiving riches.
After your accumulation,
shatter the hope of satisfaction.
I become hungry and thirsty.
Resulting in stealing and fraud.
I become stingy and active.
Believing in the hope you give,
leaving my back,
when the tide turns.
I see you,
as a fair weather friend.
You never support fully.
Money,the destruction you have caused....

Cliches Away
Three sheets in the wind
And rubbed the wrong way
By a fair weather friend
You must seize the day

Let your hair down
And lay down the law
Be the talk of the town
With your last hurrah

With all your high hopes
Few and far in between
Up against the ropes
Taking one for the team

Play your cards right
No guts no glory
Still High as a kite
The same old story...

A Fair Weather Friend Is No Friend At All
The words your eyes speak
Cover ground your lips will never travel
You call me equal, call me friend
But your eyes, they say you lie
They show me your disgust, your ridicule
You will never have respect for another but yourself
And never me, never me
So inferior to you I am
Lesser in every way, to you
Not pretty enough to love and not a man
These alone the reasons of your despise...

Premium Member Dear Friend
You have always been a friend
You have stuck with me
Through thick and thin
Whenever I laughed you shared in my joy
In all my set back you were not far away
When fair weather friends
Tried to pull me down
You never joined in their cocktail of lies
But fought them mightily
My dear friend l love you sincerely
A friend in need you are
And friend in deed you have always been!...

Premium Member More Than Misty Rain
Air weighs heavy with an earthy smell,
Dare we hope for a real downpour,
Fair weather concedes to a stormy night
Care its only misty rain, we were hoping for more.

Dry fields plague the farmer’s crops,
My country roads are stirred up with dust,
Bye to the green grass and pretty flowers,
Lie to me weatherman, more rain is a must.

lightning struck
and a sparrow fell
into the nurturing arms of the great oak
the branches grew and grew
and it built a home.

and eighteen years of fair weather
blessed the bond
built in the roots so deep, so strong
in every vesicle, a memory.

but one fowl storm
and the branches gave way
to drop the sparrow in its sleep.

trust is earned
but life is short

and i can no longer fly....

Premium Member Peaceful and Lovely
Out on the deck, before going to bed,
I was captured by the glow of light overhead.
The bright moonlight, was so widely spread.
Touched by stars, creating a glint of red,
with a streak of silver like a glistening silken thread.
All in a cloudless sky, promising fair weather ahead.
The wind is soft and gentle, there are no storms to dread.
A night so peaceful and lovely, into it's dream, I was led....

Facade
I wear a mask daily
the one I put on in the morning
with the rising sun
and I am the rising sun
full of positive energy
the bright white side
of the yin and yang
the calm water of a river
during fair weather
while deep down I hide
a heart bursting
with the potential for drama
most of which is no comedy
a brooding moon in a starless sky
the black part of the yin and yang
perfectly capable of tragedy...

Premium Member My Muse Is a Fair-Weather Friend
When the temperature soars
My Muse is cranky and cross
Whether in or out of doors
Meter and rhyme are quite lost

My head heavy, I'm bored
   Sweat pours off my chin
Hunched over the keyboard
What a funk I am in

To slumber I yield
I nod off for a bit
My fate surely sealed
   Poetry, I quit...

Yet switch on the a/c
   And, voile! A new me!
To the delight of my Muse --
   Cool air lights her fuse!...
