Factions

How misfortunate she was
She could not see for her own actions
She was set to work and no longer able
to fake her factions

Igor needs a bigger lab VIII

Zelenskyy speaks with fortitude
A thing Vance and Trump find so rude
Now see what happens
With Europe’s factions
And how far mad Vlad will intrude

Gentle Temper - Ink

Civility in gentle temper spoke
Respectfully, as factions disagree
Kindness bound common ground in unity
And softened generosity awoke.

Independence Brawl

Abandon your party
stand up for what’s right
The partisan madness
a liar’s delight

Honor the founders
revolt and derail
The graft and corruption
— both factions entail

Liberals

Leaving the country in desolation
Initiating an entitlement minded nation
Biased against those believing
Eliminating desire for achieving
Rallying undesirable factions
Allowing terrorist actions
Letting our Constitution come undone
Self serving animals every one.

Warring Factions

A land of ice and fire,
a boundless border between.
Two inseparable contradictions
Forever cursed to exist side by side.

O land of ice and fire
your attention should be on the third faction.
For they are the true threat.
The land of temptation and greed, the land of allure,
The land of discounts marches upon both
and all shall be converted.

To Never Learn

Sodom and Gomorrah
their tale retold
Ignoring scripture
the world grown cold
Semitic factions
that seek and kill
Their hate on fire
their rage instills

Sodom and Gomorrah
two faiths subscribe
The Quran and Bible
their fate describes
Brother kills brother
the hour late
“Vengeance Is Mine”
—damnations fate

A Glass

Does it begin half-empty?

No – entirely empty,

Yet easily made full –

That is, until a pair

Of lips sips down

Their fill of cool water.

Now the glass is halved.

Half-full. Half-empty.

Two factions rebelling

Within one army, rivaling.

It is not fullness that rules:

‘tis the mouth and how full-

-ly satisfied the lips are left.

Logic Stones Ashes

give logic away to the obsessed

we all know nothing

we are the fragile creatures yelling at the sky

give your prejudice away

cast away the factions driven by their greed

made of rock we cast stones

to live and to die is the law of the land

these ashes of me shall plague the streets

give logic away to the obsessed...logic in itself is a concept

Our Uncle Sam

Here lies the remains of our Uncle Sam Died from those who didn't give a damn, A malady known as a lack of concern His citizens were too apathetic to learn, He came to a slow and agonizing end When divisive factions refused to bend In his two hundred forty-fifth year today As patriotic times of unity slipped away.

Standing Neutral

In a set up of community sections many factions working for good, bad or in between being a member of any set up it’s prudent to be neutral taking no side.In a stand of strange that no one can guess to which side we belong by this one can command the respect of all sections of the communities to prepare their ears to lend to this Man’s tongue.Peace will prevail in the entire set up.

January Flumes

Jetting out first as many cascades,
Addictive in a calendar of twelve,
New Year’s Day known in charades,
Unknown factions continue to delve.
Again and again it shapes natures tune.
Reveling waterfalls rouse in faded moon.
Yet without, life would have no commune.

D I S C O M B O B U L a T E D

D i s c o m b o b u l a t e d
     By Dane Smith-Johsnen

Deeply hidden
In the back of my mind
Somewhere, somehow
Closets of pain
Open and bombard
My consciousness.
Blistered by young loves' scorches
Overbearing. Smitten. Why?
Bewildered factions of trust
Undeniably eroded
Laughter to hide the pain
Altogether crushed
The heart of me cried.
Endless tears for I am
Discombobulated!!!

Walking Away From Hate

In this country of one’s mind
east and west are so defined,
warring factions ne’er at peace
forked tongue steeped in caprice,
pounding within one’s brain
mental image a constant pain.
So please let one strive to rove
amongst the evergreen grove,
to a remembrance that drove
one to the rugged coastal cove,
to an interaction that wove
in one’s implicit treasure trove!

Contrary Similarities

Incognito, I stand exposed.
Difficult days, of smooth sailing.
Completely baffled, I do know.
Happy endings, such tragedy.
Right or wrong, see no difference.
Great injustice, a fair outcome.
Crimes committed, yet acquitted.
Opposing theories, we think alike.
Time to go, let's stay awhile.
Sunny days, in dark of night.
Come to terms, in disagreement.
Willful blindness, I see it.
Peace on earth, by warring factions.
Democrats, ----- Republicans.

Uncivil Discourse

I find it bemusing;
The sentiments some are choosing;
The language they are using;

When communicating their dissatisfaction,
With opposing political factions,
Whose personal appeal they find lacking.

So, I ask this my friends!
Examine what you say and pen.

Would you like this said of you?
Does it matter YOU believe it’s due?
Others may think you’re the back end of a mule.
I guess the question we all might use;
Does it fulfill the Golden Rule?

Anub'Arak

"Stop touching my carapace, fools!"
His booming voice echoed the caverns below
Yet the chosen champions kept their onslaught

Being the master's envoy he had no choice
His obedience was not his own though

Long ago, himself the king of the spiders unknown
His noble life ended with the master's blow

Now mindless tool, caught in master's throes
His last stand against the factions' hope

Spikes pierce the ground, his summons close
His efforts in vain, his master's anger known
