Flash of inner thought

One bright star sticks out in sky

Eye blink of meaning.

Said With Tongue Had Been Denied
Said With Tongue Had Been Denied

What he did say with tongue was denied,
Then would end up with his tongue tied;
Saw each eye blink,
And started to think,
About all of those who in a war had died.

Sunset
As we look towards the sunset
We think about the passing day
Did we appriciate the things
that came our way?

As we look towards the sunset
Will the sun rise tomorrow
without all the things
that cause pain and sorrow

As we look towards the sunset
Do we ever stop and just think
this day could be gone
in an eye blink...

A second passes ~ an eye blink
Do not sit there and memorize the past
Minutes ticking ~ they are history
As the hours go by and life goes on
Memories we choose to take care of

The days turn into weeks ~ months and years
We have learned ~ grown and survived
No days can be returned
although some may seem superfluous
Life lesson is to remember what really matters

Premium Member Please Leave Me In Lala Land
My hearts dream is alert, awake,
but cannot coax my body
into even a dull eye blink.

My hearts goals are just
beyond my reach, I am
in lala land, and I want to
stay there.

My hearts song is now
allowing me to move even
a muscle, as I try to
recapture my dream.

The dog nudges my leg
again, wanting to get up,
smelling bacon I do not
care about or eat

UGH! It is a Tuesday.
I throw my pillow at
my annoying alarm.

I almost had it this time....

Like Zen In Her Old Age
Like Zen in Her Old Age

Like Zen in her old age,

she moves as calm water

with the slow metabolism

of ancient stones and redwoods.

toiling like the slow rutting

of running water through rocks.

With finger to wrist,

she feels the tide ebb and flow in her pulse,

And within the ice age of an eye blink

she lives through the millennia

moving at the pace

of the slow creep of continents

as she steps back into history....
