Think About This

Hell is well lit and lively
heaven is dim and boring
but desire for brightness
extinguishes much appetite
for the disguised heaven

Inside The Buddas Temple

a
gentle gust of wind
from
the
sacred wings of
the
owl moth
extinguishes the
candlelight flame
with
its
bamboo wings
inside
the
Buddhas temple

What’s that fulfilment,
which extinguishes desires
and releases us from fear?

Once head melds with heart,
union of polarities,
results in bliss unending.

To Lie

All poets lie:
Self-dramatizing every hurt,
Or otherwise, exaggerating bliss.

All poets lie
(When life extinguishes) in dirt,
And lips that used to sing, the grave-worms kiss.

Power Your Voice

Everyone is deaf until you speak out loud,
Faint voice extinguishes in the chaos of the crowd,
Languid breeze is mostly ignored,
Unless it turns out into the tide to rattle the shore!

The Fire Extinguishes By Time

The fire extinguishes by time.
He told me!

Don't advise me
as a rock over bedrock
my heart will survive not as
an ember faded and
withered in the ashes.

My heart will survive
When you will be absent;
As fire when it burned well,
the smoke faded !

My love is like water raped, pillaged, oftentimes abused for being strange It's steamed with fire, absorbed by earth, consumed in air, churns its own range But it's given back by all of them for something they need exchanged For it extinguishes, it shapes, it envelops, it amalgamates leaving nothing deranged

When Love Is Done

The heart bears a smile,
When someone enters it.
Though bold, it holds,
With a tight death grip.

Affection brings you joy,
With complete happiness.
I bring love to the skin,
Wherever my lips are pressed.

Your inner light glows,
Like the rays of the sun.
But the flame of your love life,
Extinguishes, when love is done.

Premium Member He waits in Ambush

   My soul eternal
     wrestles the devil infernal

  he waits in ambush
     perpetually, for me

  to forget, and disconnect
     from God Almighty

then rushes in to ruin and wreck
extinguishes in a sec, the Light

God gave me to spread throughout the world
leaving my conscience submerged, deeply disturbed...

Match

random matches in a book
the cover closed when lighting
pulling across the striking surface
sulfur catching and igniting

smoke lifts from the once cool head
the flame burns hot and high
combustion from the chemicals
consuming all close by

breath softly extinguishes
after it's abated
intensity has burnt itself out
cooling once exhausted

Water beneath bridges is always made to move
below the penumbra of our blessed moon.
She flows freely through the mouth of its enclave
taking with her every notion of solidity;
I stand here firm as a rock watching her pour herself out
she slows my senses as she extinguishes my
burning thoughts, and makes me think of
Superman !

Love Lesson 101

Father Time is to love
As a breeze is to fire
It enkindles the great
Extinguishes the small
Swirls ashes into smoke
Drifting up like prayers
From some abandoned souls
Wounded by an arrow
Misfired from Cupid's bow
Smoke stings everyone's eyes
And tears become rainbows
Doomed to fade out of sight
Until we understand
That when it comes to love
We all get blown away . . . .

Tick Tick Sit Wait

Tick Tick Sit Wait.
Left to ponder, left to rebuild.
A cut so deep, it cant be healed.
Forced to change, forced to adapt.
Does love change, inevitable trap.
A love thats lost, an answer to choose.
A scheduling conflict, an unfaithful excuse.
Deception, lies, and wrongful blame.
Powerful hurt extinguishes the flame.
Plentiful candles, fireworks and clocks.
Time to reset, uncover matchbox.
Tick Tick Sit Wait.

Premium Member The Wick of Life

Life is the wick
in our vessel of clay
each day a gift
a mystery
no way to check
on our reserve of fuel
one day our light fades
without warning
extinguishes
in a one-time
disappearing act
we can only hope
we’ve made our impact
we’ve touched some lives
made contributions
worthy of this
precious gift called life

Living a Life in Someone's Honor

Unsettled conversation
in a backyard
filled with untested solutions

On the surface,
he extinguishes the only guiding light they had to share
Now he faces them, headstrong
“Fear not my only children
mistreated souls will always venture on”

In a backyard
filled with untested solutions
holds an unsettled conversation,
lacking mediation

Forgive me father,
how could I rise to occasion
without a compass in my hand,
begging for exploration?

Woman Down

The ocean cringed
Its body being violated
Over and over again
Nobody stopped it, only watched
With eyes filled with a disgusting lust
The ocean closed her eyes
And endured the pain
It was necessary
In trade, she'll go back to paradise
Every day, looking at her sky
The sky with curious brown eyes
And wonderful blonde hair
One violator fills her with trash
The next extinguishes a cigarette
On her already bruised body
But she endures it
Knowing better days are coming

Fire and Ice

If snowflakes set aflame the ground They touch and wintry winds abet The flames, would she and I this day always remain deeply in love? Yet snow is snow-it’s wet, it’s cold Its frigid blanket lacks the warmth That lover’s hearts depend and thrive; It stifles, smothers all that grows and extinguishes any fire. Snow-flames are just a fantasy An image conjured in my mind But in my heart our love is true In any world we two reside inventible or otherwise.

Premium Member One Flame

each candle contains a Flame
life abounds within its Light
Fire when these Flames unite
and banishing the darkness

warm comfort flows from within
drives away the biting cold
the wind of division blows
extinguishes one candle

where once each formed The Fire
individuals, yet one
this missing Light makes all less
less Light, less warmth, comfortless

tears of grief fall on the wicks
Flames sputter and dim but stay
keeping at bay the darkness
forever missing your Light
