Open Wounds
Are we not purported to
be the supposed elders

So why are we

Busy experimenting with
our children's future lives
used as collateral

In order to try and solve our
wounds

A problem we in fact have

My Mum Served Me Coffee
Since I was three my mum served me coffee

I was her first child so she was merely experimenting

I bounced to and fro and spoke faster than she

By the time I was four she switched me to decaffeinated tea!

Love
Is seen
Sometimes as
If it has been
Denied for some to
Know its sweeping effects
Passing the earthly journey
And to the ethereal world
Without never experimenting
One of the most universal feelings

Adventure - A Didactic Cinquain

Adventure?
Imagined, GRAND...
Experimenting, traveling in space, total care giving?
Braver that I, perhaps?
Dangerous undertaking??

Astronaut?
Maybe not, GREAT...
Wonders of wondering, minds racing, embraced memories?
Jottings, DOWN, perhaps?
Whom am I writer or adventure ??

Eighteen
and trying to make
sense of the world
the mechanics of love
struggling with power
experimenting with
its sheer dimensions
stretching boundaries
of courage and regret

Feeling nostalgic
weighing the impact
of choices
of decisions
at this most crucial time
that shapes our future

Freedom is indeed a lethal weapon

Ask Me the Question That Stops Me Looking For Answers
Breaking chunks of sky to see what lies behind
Watching in the dark as light tries to trickle in
Watching myself watch all the other me's
While i happily talk to the silence
Not different just experimenting with the sameness
and letting words cradle myself
Passed madness several miles back and i am on my way
to my next place
Ask me the question that stops me looking for answers
And i will tell you your lies...

In you i fear most
never ending one way street
one’s mentality
broken and in love destroyed
who’s ever been there for me?
Love a dual carriage way
never straight mixed emotions
yet for me so blind
everything to you given
trust, no more i can’t.

here i'm experimenting with a different
form of poetry, yet using the Tanka..
calling it the 4 T's (toe to toe tanka.
see the syllable count and you will get it'''

There was no “magic”
in the markers
only wax crayons
melting on a sidewalk

A bottle of LePage’s glue
soft rubber nozzle
clogged and stiff

Sticky fingers experimenting
eight color “what if” mixings
rainbow hues

Coloring books
lined challenges
attempting to contain
youthful exuberance
in artistic awakening

Color freed
childhood boxes
fading footprints
haunting city sidewalks

though a lying Harp – The

lethal damage, in the arms of

I performed a little entertainment at a teen age hospice.
This lovely 15 year old little girl just wanted from me her first passionate kiss.
I thought to myself, "What is the harm? This poor young girl is going to die,
certainly before she ever gets a chance to testify."
I know that sounds very bad of me,
but with only two words,
I can make it worse,
True Story.

The above never happened obviously.

The Answer
Something went wrong,
the world turned against us.

Some said it was we that did it,
some thought it was God
or a Global entropy,
however it was all theory.

People died or went quietly mad
while watching TV
or shopping at the Piggly Wiggly.

Eventually it came to pass
that we began to understand
that the planet itself was a living being
and we were the actual virus.

The world was experimenting
with ways to fumigate itself.
We fought to kill it before it killed us.
We won....
