Nerve cell that enables
Naked, excitable
Nimbly magnetising
Nourishing mind-body
Nonchalant yet vibrant
Neglect at your peril...

An excitable speckly young thrush,
Flew down from a tree in a rush,
He felt sure that he'd heard
A like minded bird,
But he just made a poor robin blush!...

Males of the Huge Gray Kangaroos,

Males of the huge gray kangaroos,
So excitable early in the spring.
Do not bend over to them, or, in a blink,
You will be sexually abused.

My friend, who did not listen my advice,
Was badly hurt for it! Not ones, but twice!...

Diminutive dwarf donned a dark dapper derby
Enthusing excitable elf’s electric eel’s energy
Following frenzied faerie’s forever frills and fantasy
Garnishing gremlin and gargoyle’s grassy greenery
Holding hostage history’s hysterical hideous Henry....

Ferocity a Freed Verse

FEROCITY
bastion
slowly
 being opened
secret
for years
elegance
ushered in
towering
  over
a ferocious
scene
silencing
the
 excitable
 with
a watchful gaze
 beneath
 in front
&angular

so distinguished
 looking
faces
with
closed
ears
glimpsed
in aversion
 displayed
readily
 & not  accessible
 but
 completely
free
to
drawing
compelling
attention
 to the
outraged...

No Company For Us

An oversized Bengal tiger guards my front door.
We quite rarely have visitors here anymore.
In the guesthouse live six giant grizzly bears.
Company rarely drops in to sit in our chairs.

Our excitable African lion stalks prey in our grass.
We don’t know why, but potential visitors usually pass.
I lament the lack of company, but my husband is fine.
And I know what to do with him if he gets out of line....

My Focus

It's all in my eyes
What you see is no disguise

My intent is so sincere
I'm aiming and shooting without fear

My energy is indefatigable
I can meet night with day and still be excitable

In the midst of storms, I'm unflappable
My level of stoicism is masterful

I'm peering
and I'm steering
I'm honing
and I'm toning
I'm leveling
and I'm not settling

This is MY FOCUS
And this is no hocus pocus...

Sly Are the Foxgloves and Excitable the Dogwood, Oh My

Foxgloves and dogwood, oh my!

Playing in the garden,

When no one else is looking

Having such a great time,

Foxgloves they are so sly

Dogwood so excitable,

Dancing together

And so colourful,

Filling the garden

With mischief and magically

Bring to life all of natures beauty,

The foxgloves and dogwood, oh my!

They are both amazing too me,

Both are as mischievous as can be....

Ply Them With Balsam

My climbing rope is broken
better fix it
said the excitable culprit

A praying mantis was in my sandwich
it provided a challenge
crunch crunch went my dentures

Please don't force the hyacinths
let them blossom in their own time
Please don't be too eager again

If your fingers grow stiff
ply them with balsam
if not rub them with ash

Teddy bear don't let the shadows get you
Depend on somebody
Watch over for the angels
we never meet...

Minor Distractions

mind unspooling
easing my way into the garden
to prune the over eager
feeling well
in a loosely-strung way

excitable dog
threads my legs

I am centered
balanced

dog now barking
chasing squirrels
dog kicking up flustered
clusters of sparrows
doors slam
neighbors yell
dog pissing on the roses

strategic withdrawal

dead heads still
un-dead
wind whip's-up
a spiky shudder

gin and ice
snatched from the fridge

running for cover...

Afraid of Love or Afraid of Failure 13-09-23

"Hi".
One word takes my to those blue skies of heaven,
your voice the north on a compass in the sea.
How I crave for those brief interactions,
occasional furtive glances,
occasional day dreamy stares.
How I wish I could cover the distance between us in two great strides,
roll you in my embrace
and say what I've been holding on so deeply to you.
Alas I am but a coward,
always replying with an excitable yet shameful
"Hey".
Will I regret it?
Of course...

Learning a New Language

Learning another language, excitable fun
As tongues wildly run.

Enriched vocabularies with foreign words,
Elevated like flying birds.

Step away stagnant conversation crew,
Jump in rainbow of speech
To teach,
A new view.
Eliminating dreary words,
moods of blue.

I have a best freind from france,
French!! The song of romance.
Even though for now, my spoken french is not a lot,
Un petite peu,
I'll continue to learn french
For fun,
So my tongue can wildly run....

Nine Lives

Nine lives are bestowed upon a cat to live,

In this world full of danger we travel through.

None may escape the final time appointed to them,

Even the cat has it's last moment to breathe.

Living a life of adventure, demands some extra chances,

It's the curious cat, trapped, who really needs it.

Vain cats cleaning themselves on a slim, lofty ledge.

Excitable cats trying to catch the mysterious red dot.

Silly cats flipping their tails at a dog pack.

For the "Nine" contest....

(My Son)
A joy to be with
Smart as a whip
Annoying at times ;)

Delightful little smiles
Annoying at times ;)
Never a dull moment
Intelligent little girl
Extremely smart
Lovable to no end
Lovely in every way

Jinxed Myself

i won't say it out loud.
if you knew, you could understand.
it's hard to act human
with a head full of sand
and spiders with cobwebs
catching every thought
before it lands.

i get confused between
what's real and imagined.
i'm excitable. sometimes sad
at the birth of an idea, a fantasy,
upon the realization
it may be just that.
and i've jinxed myself
by creating a moment
before time has allowed.

if memory serves correctly,
i'll remember your face
fading into the crowd....
