Yellow the colour

Green is the colour

he who stands closer to the source
teaches without employing force
since he’s not in separation
therefore there’s no thought serration
in his evocative discourse
Five lines can make poem.
Lines should not be vile
Can it bring a smile?
Make it simple, wholesome.
Poem is evocative, not a fake’s wile.

Fantastic flower from plant Bird of Paradise!
Spectacular colours : vibrant brilliant bright.
on distinct shape : evocative of bird in flight
Exuberant ecstasy symbolising.
alluring, evocative, desire's velvet soul
unlily-like reveals fierce, flaming bud
swelling flower bursts, scintillating points
love rests, dew filled cup

the shire plods his path

Note: On holiday recently,we took a trip by canal barge pulled this way.Very evocative for me, as on my mother's side, her forbears were canal people, and thats how they happened to arrive here in my hometown.
Infant Poet
I heard the sweetest cry: “Jack Ellison!”
Soon after birth of Joe my Cherubim Son
That bestowed bliss and not sorrow-
A symbol for a judicious tomorrow
Evocative of erstwhile Lord Tennyson!
** With the Wise Poet, Jack Ellison, in mind. (A Limerick)

Evocative lines bring tears to the eyes.
Plethora of metaphors makes men think.
Emollient words soothe someone in his cries.
Furtive reading lets not mind quit and blink.
As the brain broods the troubles that arise,
No way will confidence dwindle or shrink.
Ineffable happiness of the heart
Allows not the sad soul to fall apart.

A GRAHAM EKPHRASIS
With elegy so tender
‘a word left at the ear’
Evocative in sentiment
so often brings a tear.
Narrative ,syntax & cadence
when read aloud‘As is moments’
from the mouth,with pace
& tone uniquely remembered,
a readers’ experience alone
Tribute to W, S Graham 1918-1986
Listen to me recite this ekphrasis on youtube unde my pen name ichthyschiro
Seduction is a movement that falls in step with the ocean’s tide.
Its power hidden in the ebb and flow,
Evocative motions pulling you outside of time.
You tangle yourself in sea grasses,
the dark water is now your home.
Lonely souls and lovers alike,
gather by this mysterious and sultry shore.
With heavy chains they wrap their naked bodies
All hoping for a chance to drown.

Walking under a burning sun
Listening evocative Christmas songs
Sweat furrows my motionless visage
Snow calmly is falling down
Alive drops dissolve my thoughts
A fresh breath gently stirs
Walking straightaway still alone
Looking for a friendly crucial turn
Nobody matching my broken mind
What's hot? What's cold?
Deep down somebody is already here
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
