Flameless Smoke

Like endless words
emotionally meant
Like tideless memories
erratically spent
Like dreams that weave
a few days content
Like flameless smoke
love lies dormant

Premium Member Dancing With the Devil

I danced with the devil once

A frenzied dance indeed

Only had the one dance

More than enough for me

The devil danced the Fandango

Wild and erratically

If ever we cross paths again

No more whooping it up with the devil for me!

Beach Collection

salt crusted fish bone
caught within tangled seaweed...
high tide offering

hermit crab scuttles
erratically on sand...
waving eyes on stalks

opened mouthed seashells
coated with wind driven sand...
change in the weather

Premium Member The Butterfly

The butterfly danced in the air careless,
silent, elusive, circling the room erratically.

Occasionally it’s iridescence
would reflect, as it floated by,
on the blank white paper, long on my desk.

The soft breeze from the open widow,
on which the creature was carried
now an invisible barrier to its escape.

I flit and flutter
     on the wind
blown
  as the spirit leads
drawn by colour
   and intense needs
my journee
      erratically unfolds-
I alight,
     spread my wings
in still life

to make
    poets sing.

The Ritual

Nihilist :
Being observed,
makes you feel undressed, naked.
A linear, ramp rage
rises.

Pieces of time
fall in your mouth. You start behaving
erratically. Hawthorne effect ?
You know how sharp, stout
are the stings ?

Testicles shrink.
The unrelenting zero burns the fat.
The emptiness was howling.
Time was dying,
and dying was time.

An Act of Man

Stunted Head bowed He shuffles along Scared he might stumble Hesitant Hands twitchy He drags himself Terrified of all around Powerless Eyes nervous He glances erratically Intimidated by people passing Haunted By memories He turns around Glancing back at time Staring at an incident, an act of man That crippled his emotions as only a human can.

Erratically-tossed sequins
Mark the places of night's stadium -
A netherworld of colored stones
For the spry flights of cherubim -

And Jehovah - madman or genius -
   I cannot quite discern -
Overlays time upon us
   And I'm a lowly spectator.

One angel keeps an amethyst -
   Ignoring an agate - then ruby;
I do wonder if by chance
   There's a rock somewhere for me ...

Life has many ups and downs
many things can turn around
it is placing our faith and hope
on his loving grace.

Life can take you into darkness
where you feel no spark
it can lift your spirit high
as you soar into the sky.

Life is unpredictable
it will swing erratically
one moment up then down
eventually you touch even ground.

What lies ahead
is an unknown factor
live each day the best
life takes care of the rest.

Delivering Nature

Creatures of nature
Nature’s creations of life
Deliver ingeniously
Call of the crow slow
Disappearing in a mist
Reappearing once again
Whipple wills whistle
Loud to soft they continue
Near but far they speak sharply
Wind flowing constant
Every direction then
Lazily departing up
Raindrops heartedly
Drift silently until stopped
Creating wondrous quick sounds
Bees flying so low
Flutter erratically
Creating sizzling humming

Erratically You

Erratically you

It was by chance I came to Portugal.
I was a failure in Norway and a bigger loser in Britain.
I could not absorb a culture that makes the working-class
dumb workers and ignorant soldiers.
It was a day in May when I came here, didn´t want to live
by the coast, which was like living in Liverpool with sunlight.
I bought a ruin/stable got local workers to help me restoring the place.
One day I looked up and said: “I´m home.”

Exorcism

He rolled on the ground erratically,
as though his body was filled with
embers. Villagers gathered around him,
some whose mouths were agape.
Another child of the sun
had been accused
of interacting with a water
sprout, a domain which was reserved
only for the gods. The elders had
initially agreed the boy would be excommunicated
deep into the
wilderness, but his mother pleaded,
in the midst of tears. Quitting
exorcism was out of question.

Midnight

Midnight

The clock strikes twelve!
The Hiding Hyde's wake up

Sleepless nights
With blank eyes wide open

The dead ghosts of your life
Don't let your eyelids droop

Actionable entanglements
Quake your damp pillows

Overinflated remorse
Erratically updates you at night

These midnight attacks sadly
Terminate the silent sleep

The days pass by peacefully, but
The midnight hours are unrequited

Untitled

Love is not fully understood
Until you have a life of your own
“Fox in Socks”
One million times
Twenty shades of mud
After a long summer’s day
Energetic jumping beans
Spilling erratically on the floor
Endless boo-boos to kiss
Invisible to all others
Premature voices calling out
In the still of the night
Tiny fingers probing your eyes and ears
Pinchers that never let go
Sleepy attempts to stay awake
“Play nice. I stay up?”
“One more kiss, Mommy”
One more kiss

Premium Member Words of Sorrow

Translating some sentences a day
I see words of sorrow
roll on paper,
feel my mustache
and hair hesitate to grow,
and fail to grasp months and days.

Translating some sentences a day
I see the ink
print deeply the sorrow,
scattering on paper
my millions of lifetimes in exile.

Translating some sentences a day,
I see my hand
hold the pen erratically,
feel the pain arise
from liver and guts,
and let words of sorrow freeze my fingers.
