What isn't flawed?
The rule of law?
Any document that holds power
Any legislation written down

A Bullet In the Head of Stagnation(Still Tuning)
Who needs will?
Endorphine blitzers
Overdose blues and alcohol spritzers
Chemically engineered to enslave
Like the things we see
and who were taught to be
since birth weve been told to behave
Anarchy!Rebellion!Ego!Zeitgeist!...

Premium Member Paper Boat
Engineered to sail far
across Duck Pond's great beyond,
Daddy built my marine dream.
Through Seven Splashes she swayed,
calmed by swan songs and toad croaks,
lily pads and lotus blooms
when paper had strength of steel.

In the Fold
The walls are four-square grange-hall
brown. We sit in folding chairs engineered
to hold a body in place. We sit here
like the law of possession.

Could I wither into a seed so small
I’d not be seen? Could I find a plot of soil
where I might grow?...

Double Entry
Spawn of the blade,
a bacteria
engineered
'twixt knife and wound.

'Tween scales and tape
they took
his measure leaving
figures
in books.

The spade
cut smoothly
through the earth.

In an effort to save for the approaching moment,
he had lost what he'd failed to spend....

Fables of Reflections
And we became the layer of voices
With engineered precision ripples
And auto-tuned echoes

And though many who bow blindly
In the sanctuaries of their own belief system
Would sometimes rationally scrutinize
And disqualify the sacraments of others

Truth would always appear obvious
On fables rather than reflections...

Rainbow
Early morning the
rainbow
spread its' arch,
bridgelike and engineered with perfect hues of light,
over the fire ravaged California town...
and the first risers looked up, clutching their coffee cups in ritual to the luminous curve,
contemplating meaning in the wide color of prism,
as the rainbow faded,
content only with itself....

Where Angels Die
Pioneered for extinction.

Engineered to be the cause.

I need not.

One prediction.

I feed my addictions.

That is my cause.

I need not.

Any pause.

I forward just to play.

Bleeding.

Eyes.

Blistered.

Lips.

So comes my fears.

With many tears.

Through every single.

Of my broken years.

I cry.

Where angels die....

Our modern day chorus
Seems sung out of tune
The cacophony of life
Instead of the cry of the loon....

We have so engineered noise
As this world keeps going around
It's easy to loose connection
With the gift of earth's quiet sound....

The call of the prairie grass
The sigh of the ocean's repeat
Songs of the passing brook
And the sound of our own heart beat........

Premium Member Bound By Convention
Listen to poem:
I engineered an intricate design,
determined to be action,
not thoughtful stasis.
But, isolate and distant --
a preserver of decorum --
formal, unexposed, and safe --
with bounds determined
by tight, sane strictures,
I did not struggle,
could not escape nor abandon place --
became, instead, a creature
habit-ridden: a cousin
to the circus seal
that honks a horn
for fish....

Bricks
I stack my bricks together
Assemble one by one
Construct myself a barrier
To hide from everyone
My soul's become too fragile
It's shivery and weak
Ramshackled by dishonesty
Enfeebled by deceit
So I've engineered a fortress
An rampart for the pain
Ensconced behind my barrier
I'll never hurt again
So I stack and stack and stack my bricks
My emotion thwarting wall
A soul saving work of masonry
To shield me from it all...

Black
BLACK.
My shadow bask in bliss
Paid dues of past life synchyses
Diamonds on melanin doesn't connote asking amiss
Just like the lips asking for a kiss,
Spread o'er and so is this
Art engineered on the instrumentality of black pen,
Its a race no man will see it end.
Black is bold, black is beautiful.
Love your skin and be grateful
You're wonderfully made.
Be #blackandproud cos it'll never fade.

Sailboats At Regatta - By Hendrith Smith
Sailboats at Regatta
bob and weave
play and sway
like feathers on the currents of the air
on a springtime morning.

Hand carved champions of the sea
engineered to outsail some other
brothers, friends and fathers all aboard
more than ready.

Hoing through the motions
open ocean bound
toward a blue horizon
and fearless - full of faith, only
in what wind may take them far, fast
as cheerful souls on shore
say goodbye.

- a poem by Hendrith Vanlon Smith Jr...
