Paper Boat

Engineered to sail far across Duck Pond's great beyond, Daddy built my marine dream. Through Seven Splashes she swayed, calmed by swan songs and toad croaks, lily pads and lotus blooms when paper had strength of steel. 5-16-2020

this carried me back to city streets, puddles and Popsicle stick armadas. The last line a testament to the soul of youth.

wow, I LOVE this. I am thinking this one required either 7 word or 7 syllables per line. Anyway, it is free verse after all and it's very delightful.

Thanks, Andrea for enjoying it. I didn't realize that one of my lines had 8 syllables. Thanks for pointing that out. I just changed it.
