The Quiet Electric Chair
death
shall
take
her
final breath here
while
sitting quietly
in
the
electric chair
in
fear
while
death finally clears the air...

What Brings You Near To Me
Death, what brings
You near
To me
Quietly sitting there
In your
Wooden electric chair
We feel the power and despair
Voltage charging through the air...

WHICH IS REAL?

HUMAN TO HUMAN
HUMAN TO CREATOR
ONE BEAM IS SHORTER

LIKE A NOOSE
LIKE AN ELECTRIC CHAIR
ETERNITY FROM DESPAIR...

Paddy's Report
Electrician Paddy, an Irish chap,
gave the U.S. prison service a slap,
when he made them aware,
that the, electric chair,
to be sure was no more than a death trap....

i was explaining this at the
breakfast table

my wife pulled that electric chair face
but i consider
that it is better to
be adventurous than
cautious

my son takes another bite
of his jam on toast
and my wife
gives me those
ultraviolet light looks

she is our ozone layer
preventing
us from ripping apart
our
delicate
alveoli sacs

i am her wrinkly moon man...

Solve It
Its a problem.
Solve it!
Your mother, My father
Your sister, My brother
How can I explain?
Came from the same
Old bondage, new blood
Many religions, one god
IT took us oh so long
Let it be understood

Elusions, delusions, despair
Caught up, thrust up
The fear
Upward mobility
And the downward spiral
Of the electric chair
Stretchered in a hearse
Legless, lifeless, listless
Waste
           No pretences
                                 lifes pace....

Children of the Damned
The ethics of duplicity,
  the killing on trial

One law for the criminal,
  one law for the child

The electric chair savage,
  womb murder refined

Academia, the father and mother
  of crime

To lie when convenient,
  truth’s babies to cry

An Einstein, a Lister, a Shakespeare,
  denied

Through dark inhumanity,
  their spirits to roam

Living deep in our consciousness
  —our souls theirs to own

(Villanova Pennsylvania: April, 2019)...

As I think about it, it's only fair
that Matt should get the electric chair.
In three minutes of time, I wove pure gold
and waited several weeks to be told.

Seriously, I have him to thank
for not telling me my poem stank.
We should find it in our hearts to forgive.
Oh, the ignominy he must outlive.

I must kindly thank him, before I'm done
for his contests, creative and fun.
Here it is, Matt! Here's my latest rhyme.
Have mercy on me and take your time.

I Robbed a Liquor Stoe
(This is a fictional poem)

I was broke and it wasn't easy being poor.
I loaded my gun and decided to rob a liquor store.
The owner went for his gun so I shot him in the head.
I took the money and left him on the floor dead.
A few hours later I was arrested and put in jail.
I'm about to be executed, I hope the priest can prevent me from going to Hell.
I just ate my last meal and I'm really scared.
I did something that was stupid and now I'm going to die in the electric chair....
