A young miss by the name of Elaine,
Was considered a bit of a pain.
Bawdy words just to goad.
Gaudy clothes fashion mode.
She was never invited again.

Premium Member Harry-Elaine Cooking With Wine

My wife loves to cook with wine
when friends come around to dine.
sometimes when she’s in the mood
puts some in the food.

Sunset slipping behind the blazing hillside
Curtain falling down on the dying daylight
Purple twilight drowning in streams of blackness
Beneath the moonlight.

Indelibly In Me

I arise from my bed
Pictures of you in my head
The opportunity I could not miss
To tell you this
Need release from my emotional chain
So I pen this refrain
I love you

The Melody of Spring

The pat, pat, pat of tears from icicles
Falling on the breast of Mother Earth
Are music to my ears.

A fragile winter butterfly
Flutters from the sky
So soft and yet her heart
Is cold and made of ice
But if I warm it
She will melt and die

Premium Member There Once Was

There once was a single man named Harry
Who decided never ever to marry
He then met the lovely Elaine
Whose ice blue eyes drove him insane
Compelling bachelor ways to miscarry.

Premium Member Ship of Dreams - For Dad

He caught the wind
And sailed upon the sea of life
A ship of dreams
Riding high on waves of golden light
He found his greatest treasures
Looking up into...
A starry starry night

How beautiful the frosty breath of winter on the land
A breath so cold ...a kiss of death...that turns Mother Earth to stone
But with the passing of time...Spring will take her breath away.

Premium Member Maybe Next Year

Elaine lives like a princess in an attic room
Your own apartment, your loft, her parents say
Her best friend is Teddy, who keeps her secrets
All she wants is a friend to come visit
Children are messy, her mother says.
Not this year, maybe next year.
Every single year.

Turned Around

Turned Around
			By Elaine Roy

When all is unclear
Soft ponding tears of searching seem to appear
I'm lost in confusion but not for long
It's when these arms, are reaching up to me, I find my strength
It's in a smile of love, that hope fills my heart
To hear my name "MOM"
I get turned around; as I hear my kids say" Mom I love you!"

Petals In the Wind

Petals in the wind
By Elaine Roy

Petals in the wind , lye in the hands that are shaking but still reaching
Were hope, is searching to be found
Casting, petals into the wind of love
Only to savory loves' passion, as day dreams
As , petals fall to the wind; let them be taken
For the seeds will follow, to find love , longing to awaken!
