plummeting slowly earthward

Snowflakes
Winter's secret beauty
born within the grey
of stormy clouds,
formless vapors crystallized
to miniature glassine sculptures
unique beyond comprehension,
drift earthward to linger a season
and cleanse a soul in reflection
on a singular Creator....

Autumn Fire
vivid jade and frolicsome
when summer zephyrs eddy near,
the leaf enfeebles during harvest
so its glow, like emerald,
drains to gaudy saffron hue:
a single, sere lick of flame
	combusting autumn into fire
‘til winter’s hoar grows imminent
and earthward flutters fragile leaf,
	extinguished.

Chill shadow fall covering gray
Spark ember glow in the distance
Field reverberate muffled bray

Soft cool silk silent ambience

Earthward lonesome darken path lay
Veil on penchant earth's fluorescence
Two romantical waltz their way
Full laughter and lost innocence
Whereas a billion stars astray

Soft cool silk silent ambience

Premium Member Guardian In the Rain
Rain crashing earthward that night, I take the freeway curve at too risky a speed, on too bald a tire. Traction gives out, the car spins one revolution, stopping safely between two offramps - my guardian angel was there for me!
// this occurred 13 years ago today, on 11/11/07, and I have been grateful ever since for the watchful eye of my guardian angel //...

The ground is thawing,

Winter's demise draws near.

Eagerly I await the first buds of spring.

Snowdrops so tentative

Have raised their faces to the light.

The first green shoots

Have appeared on lilac bushes.

While the sun shines brightly

A handful of wayward flakes

Make their way earthward.

The last stragglers of the season.

As if swept from Heaven's floor

To land at our feet....

Dusk
As the leaves fall to the ground,
I see the glowing sun slip to the horizon.
A soft wind blows with a cooling sound,
And clouds march across the skies.

The amber disk falls earthward,
Giving the clouds a heavenly glow.
The wind swirls the leaves,
Forming omens in the air.

I go to leave this scene,
I watch all that goes on,
And witness a beauty that will come again,
With every day, from dusk to dawn....

Saffic Passage
Sapphic Passage

Flower crystals–– rosemary mindful, suffers
chosen struggle, triangle, silent motion
closing center, vertigo's quiet entrance.
Nuances speak soft.

Open window, fluttering curtain rapture,
silent spiral, miracles easy keeper––
cedar spirit, centuries mindful fragrance,
heart in its passage.

Angels enter willingly. Bending earthward
sing their anthems joyously...follow the song...
yet, I tremble. This is too soon for endings
hold me in this now....
