Rain
crashing
earthward that
night, I take the
freeway curve at too
risky a speed, on too
bald a tire. Traction gives out,
the car spins one revolution,
stopping safely between two offramps -
my guardian angel was there for me!
// this occurred 13 years ago today, on 11/11/07, and I have been
grateful ever since for the watchful eye of my guardian angel //
