Advertising This and That
Advertising this,
And advertising that,
At the drop of a hat,
Is making cats fat,
And enabling wallets to fold flat....

     In our litigious society
folks sue at the drop of a hat

     Employees and employers
     Students and teachers
     Wives and husbands
     Even parents and children

        ~ locked in mortal combat

Am l now simply forgotten

Just like that

No longer needed or required

Disposed of , though still intact

So many years and time given

At a drop of a hat

Am l now simply forgotten

Just like that

handle me with care
unless I tell you otherwise
don't pick on me or stare
eyes burn holes into my heart
way beyond repair
I cry at the drop of a hat
then stain my clothes with mascara
and I have nothing to wear...

Thoughts
words - they’re cunning
fooling and fooling all over again

time - they change
all that you’ve thought will always be the same

at the drop of a hat
a snap of the fingers
what you think you have are gone

once more you look around
not a shadow of what was
was found...

Mainly a friend that loves and amuses
I often would be lost without you
Never a moan parts your lips
Steadfastly you guard our home
Tenderly you wash and groom the cats
Ready to go for a run at the drop of a hat
A true and loving companion you
Live life with wagging tail and a smile...

Made-To-Order
seemed to
have
wanted a
made to order
custom-made
tailor-made
ideal person
to be at beckon
call
an individual
who was
expected to
always
perfectly
faultlessly
flawlessly
give
emotional
feedback
randomly
at a drop of a hat
like some kind of
a physic mind reader...

My fancy isn’t costly
though sometimes it can be.
I fancy this; fancy that,
or at the drop of a hat,
I’ll fancy things TOO fancy.

Since I’ve not got lots of money,
if too costly is my fancy,
I’ll just make do, because it seems
some things I want remain as dreams
while I keep living fancy-free!!

At the Drop of a Hat
J-ust when there's provocation
O-n doing things without delay;
H-ave an immediate action,
N-ow, September twenty-seventh day.

M-ove quickly at daybreak,
A-s soon as possible;
L-et your mind be in focus,
L-osing not a judgment call.
O-perate with speed and accuracy,
R-each in two minutes flat;
C-heck the time running out,
A-t the drop of a hat....

I Saw a Skeleton In My Closet
I saw a skeleton in my closet
He came to me at the drop of a hat
                                              I called him Billy
                                               He was so chilly
Got chilled to the bone and ate up my cat

Lonely Hearts.
Five feet eight,
eyes brown,
this man is
looking, for
adventure,out
of town.
Blonde,
red hair,
or brunette,
have I described,
you yet.
A sense of humor,
is a must,
You can be adventures too,
ready to drop, every thing.
at the drop of a hat,
have I wet, your appetite yet.
If you ,are interested in me,
then send a photo, and I
will see.
May be we were ,
meant to be
get in touch and ;
meet me....

Absent Soul'D Fool
Someone told me today that I have an absent soul
That my intentions were good but that my heart was cold
They basically told me I would never find love
Or that certain someone who fits like a glove

The problem is that I know what they mean
I have a heart I just don’t let it be seen
I cant give it away with the drop of a hat
For fear it’d brake, and I couldn’t face that

So for now it’ll stay wrapped in cotton wool
And I’ll continue to play the absent soul’d fool...

A Player
He breezes in like a superstar long money, fancy car. telling you things you want to hear. I'll take you there, we'll go here. makes love to you the way no other can. setting you up for the perfect plan. turns away at the drop of a hat. That's where a player's head is at. you call morning, noon, and night. A man by day, player by night. Afraid of the woman who can make him right. all because of the player's life. A player once, a player twice, a player all the dyas of his life....

Nostalgia
Past memories and back flashes,
Sweet reminders that well up the eyes,
On the morning afters,
Of the last nights,
When one wishes hopefully,
Hopes wishfully,
To hold the power of time at ransom,
To relive those moments,
At will, on a whim,
On a dime, at the drop of a hat,
But sadness is inspiring,
Happiness is relative,
Both bring to light,
The true situation at hand,
To love, to hate,
To cry, to laugh,
We all miss and long for,
These memories that represent,
Who we are, our identity....
