Loneliness
loneliness
laying empty in chest
waiting for salvation from bleakness
to open this locked heart.

A Mouseketeer Died Today
A Mouseketeer died today
Doreen Tracey could not stay
A sad event to mark this time
When childhood was innocent and so divine

With each passing childhood fades
A happy time of bright serenades
That we found
When children laughing was the happiest sound.

Unsaid
Seems so much is left unsaid,
Leaving regret and dread.
Hurt and betrayal leaves a mark.
Exposed wounds open and dark.

Too much time spent saying goodbyes,
Unfinished lines broken where they lie.
Tears of sorrow cascade unrelenting,
No openings for the mending.

Broken lines in need of repair,
Silence remains full of despair
Years of memories lorn.
All that’s left is treachery and to mourn.

Had Sat and Sat
Had Sat and Sat

In front of my screen I sat and sat,
Enjoying Soup's super new format;
Is newly shuffled;
No feathers ruffled;
They even do know I'm a Democrat.
