To Hitch Another Ride
death sits
waiting alone

along the edge of
a diverging road

waiting to hitch another ride
to the other side

on the doorsteps of hell...

Premium Member A Real Wish For Myself
It's about time I made a real wish for myself: going up the ladder,
seeing my plans run smoothly as dreams do when no obstacles are met;
the New Year is at my doorsteps...great things I will accomplish!...

The Future Disturbs Me With Pain
The future disturbs me with pain
Everyone talks about it to me
I’ll chase the past with bullets of denial
The ghosts are often at my doorsteps
Store the present in your belly I shall
That will be mission accomplished...

colorful doorsteps
as autumn knocks at the door...
       leaves blown by wind's breath

Premium Member Sultry Night Above
Raggedy vagrants
alleyways with broken lamps
clomping of footsteps

Imminent danger
seaside shadows vanish
fir trees bend and crack

Imaginary ghosts
swift legs continue their beat
keep life-saving pace

Sultry night above
concealed moonlight endures
climb unlit doorsteps...

Premium Member Happy May Day
Happy May Day, the 1st of May
I remember in childhood, when we would play
We would make handmade baskets and fill them with flowers
Then leave them on doorsteps, ring the bell and run!
Knowing our neighbors would be surprised
With an unexpected gift on their steps, Happy May Day! HAVE FUN!

Premium Member Autumn Joy and Nostalgia
Orange blooms at dusk
goblins in the pumpkin patch
rich fall's come again

ghosts haunt dark cool nights
scarecrows wave in harvest fields
sad trees weep colors

devils on doorsteps
trick or treat candy cane lane
warm fireside cider

gaudy, red nosed clown
creeping like sun going down
when wind is howling...

Memories
Happy or not
Unforgetable though
Will slip from the hands
Like time from the calendar
Cruelty, hardships and hatred
Unforgetable though
Have to be tolerated and ignored
As new confrontations of life
Are still waiting for you
At your doorsteps today
So don't forget to
Empty your heart and mind
For a better tomorrow...

Premium Member Wondering
Deep gray cluds like doorsteps supported
Between two large gray clouds
Or like fanstrokes by the artist
Who paints blank canvas proud

Such a blue sky behind suspended
Clouds like cotton balls hang
From imaginary silk string
Or mother's epic meringue

Now there is a tiny T-Rex
Running up those dark steps
I still wonder as a child how
How those clouds hanging kept? ...

You see the sin in everyone,
The darkness and decay,
Deceit, skullduggery and lies,
Point out their wrongful ways.

The dirt upon their window panes,
The filth around their doorsteps,
You see each one for what they are,
And know the secrets kept,

Hidden in the darkness,
Of their dirty little minds.
You see their weaknesses and faults,
But to your own you're blind....

Christmas 4
CHRISTMAS 4

Churches adorn themselves in gold riches
Hunger sleeps outside their own doorsteps
Reaping it just reward on it earthly deeds
Ignoring those whom they meant to serve
Sometime truth is spoken but also silenced
Today is meant to be about a precious gift
Many poor feed the rich but not themself
All because we lost the true meaning of it
Should we lament on the beast we created...

Hallow’s Eve
Goblins afoot,
Eerie Music fest
Spooky like no other,
Fantastical trick-or treat,
Haunted footsteps creeping,
Lacy spider webs,
Costume parties,
Ghostly night

Pumpkins
All lined up
Lit by candles
On People’s Doorsteps
Door Opens Slowly
Old Man exits
Holds candy
Wide grin

Ghost
Smiles
Trick-or-treats
Happy he does
Not need a costume
Mommy smiles
Others too
None know
Truth...

Enough
I will die
here at the doorsteps
of your heart wondering
why you let
me come so
close and yet you kept
me so
distant

A wall of
ice and glass
prevents me from
any
further move

Gasping for my
last
breathe I am
left
to guess what it takes for
you
to give up plans and
schemes and
surrender
to love

When you will
finally
open that door my
corpse
will greet you
frozen and you will not
be
able to ever
resuscitate me....

Premium Member Visions of Autumn
Scarecrow’s tattered clothes
Clever birds are never fooled
Sit defiantly
Arms of hay hold heckling birds
Eating the last grains of corn

Nature’s curtain falls
Vibrant leaves make no encore
Tumble to damp soil
Yellows and reds turn to brown
Trees’ skeletal limbs shudder

Fall’s first kiss of frost
Invades farmer’s pumpkin patch
Hardy fruit withstands
Trick-or-treaters carve faces
Jack-o-lanterns light doorsteps...

Premium Member Autumn's Glory
A pumpkin patch can be seen in the field
Laying before mountains, like an orange shield
Autumn’s color ranges from trees to the ground
With so much beauty spread to be found
Pumpkins will have faces on doorsteps to see
Or giving light in night’s darkness to be
The contrast of autumn comes in many ways
As we walk through colors and light of the days

Hallows Eve
Witches come alive flying through the sky
Pumpkins sitting on doorsteps all lit up
Spiders creeping and crawling all around you
On Hallows Eve

Ghosts are watching you
Goblins are stalking you
Black cats are roaming the streets
On Hallows Eve

Children all dressed up collecting candy
Teenagers and young adults partying like theres no tomorrow
On Halloweens Eve

On Halloweens Eve
Once a year
Is when all craziness happens...

List of Options For the Frustrated Millions
what if the 14 million+ unemployed in the empire
took it upon themselves to

1.	refuse to vote in the next november sham
2.	drop their pink slips that they hold up in silent, albeit youtube’d & viral protest from wall st. to union sq., gathering up whatever blunt instruments, torches, firearms, etc. that they could muster
3.	march on down to wall st.
4.	march on down to dc.
5.	wait on the doorsteps of those that want them to go away quietly?...

Eden's Flowers
Eden’s Flowers
Aljim B. Lituañas

As the golden sun starts to rise
Brilliant flowers give its surprise
Fresh cry of weeds, O Morning dew
Good morning friends! O How are you?

Morning glories at your windows
From your doorsteps grows red roses
Glance your roofs, a yellow bell shows
Sampaguita’s scent arouses.

Wild lilies are growing happily
Sun flowers face the rising sun
See the tree trunks where orchid blooms
Yes! In your heart all, all bloom....

Down the Road Apiece
Downtown dead weight
Hurled like a heavy piece of irony
Specks of sometimes riding shotgun
Blankets of stars that never sleep

Upheaval and missions of monsters
World gone wrong messages
Edging ever closer to weary
Sometimes a great notion

Readiness and tangible freedom
Waxing moons breathing shallow
Deliveries to empty doorsteps
Time again and again

Forward the motion in prayer
Forlorn and high like a kite
Innocence dressed immaculate
Down the road apiece...

Premium Member Time To Enjoy Autumn
*not for contest

Time to enjoy Autumn, until the last leaf falls
All the colors that embrace us
Special gifts that surround us
Crisp apples waiting to be picked
Pumpkins smiling on doorsteps

Time to enjoy Autumn, fresh air with its scent
The water before it turns to ice
The grass before the snow falls
The wildlife before they hibernate
Autumn's transition allowing us to be all we can be
     - In a world full of colors, waiting to be seen -
