Moments of fascination
Sounds of distraction
Feelings of longing
Dreams scattered
Fears of trembling
Happiness everlasting
Louella was a distraction
Giving us boys satisfaction
We loved her chassis
She was a fine lassy
And always ready for action
Neuroses become elated
that high cannot be deflated;
Lusty infatuation
without distraction;
Coffee’s running around naked.
kids get distraction
oh I love Pokemon Go
parents get action
once I've had a Peek-at-chu
can't wait to play Poke the mom

in distraction I relish lazily with ease - life’s pastime pleasure

Get to be living in distraction and some denial,
As she will soon ascend to Heaven in a little while.
Living life behind this biggest lie of a falsely happy smile.
"All that is necessary is to turn back to our heart"/
preferring His Love (to distraction)/
is a habit that's smart

If we ever needed humor, it's NOW
Some may think it's inappropriate somehow
Need a diversion
Need a distraction
Anything to help, some way, some how
Sick slick trick playing down on you
Mesmerized your eyes with keys to nothing
The miracle of the Xanadu
Surpassed all maniacal distraction
Such an irritating act
When you're are gravely focused
And your brain in a snap
Comes up with a flash
of Johnny Depp
on the red carpet
smoking an e-cigarette!
Now, just WTH is that?

Trump A Major Distraction
Decided Trump is major distraction,
And trying to gain own satisfaction;
Never are sure,
If known cure;
Failures were due to much inaction.

sparkling eyes dance
long curl of golden hair
distraction it seems
written about my little girl while she played
butterfly bushes
brilliant orange blooms delight
roadside distraction

A beauteous Miss felt attraction,
And she loved her man Kane to distraction,
When friends questioned her love,
Well she gave them a dove,
Warned, ‘You all best stay clear of my action!
2 exercise regimens,
4 movies,
12 books,
26 CDs,
77 shows,
98 piano songs to be learned,
339 pictures to be taken,
And yet,
There is nothing
Much to do,
But to sleep
And dream of you.
once she gets out of this house
i will regain my inspiration
to do my work
she's distraction
i don't know what i feel
when she's around
she's got to go
my work is a much more future than her
If love is blind, then what is carnal attraction?
Untuned fidelity can be quite the fatal distraction.
A novel connection conjoins souls between me and new.
What is a twisted nail but a substitute screw?
“Truth
a distraction”
the media pouts
Constricting
those voices
trying to shout
Dumber
than dumb
brain dead by degree
Digging new graves
for the few
— still left free
(Dreamsleep: April, 2024)
Words
clamor
and curdle
into ripened,
red embolisms
of vulgar syllables
that dam fresh inspiration
with futile, vagrant dissonance.
I diagnose my swollen fingers
as unfortunate strokes of distraction.
When the World is beating you down, I'm
around through every mood, good or bad
You're my downfall, you're my muse
My worst distraction, my best addiction,
my rhythm and blues
I can't stop thinking of you.

A marksman high on the ridge
a silhouette against the dusky sky
a gun bang and then thunder
still he holds form
strong legs do not tremble but remain
the grey clouds moving in circular fashion

The older I get,
the more distant they seem
The past and the future,
reality’s dream
The older I get,
the deeper it feels

Distractions in eight grade homeroom are complete today
As I see the finger shaped glasses on my friend Gray
He always pushes the teacher near the edge of the cliff.
I see her biting her fingernails, her hair and her lip.
The older I get
the closer it seems
The past from the future
what’s real, to my dreams
The older I get
the deeper it feels
Distraction aborted
—all distance revealed
(Villanova Pennsylvania: June, 2016)
Sincere I forget, distrust I hurt
a grudge of distraction. Mere I
tend to resent, lust observe
must it happen. Insist despair
I exist, such blood nerves
in scratches. Dare I admit
I’m scared, in dust &
Love Burnt Ashes.
