disassembled
    and torn
scattered
    in the fetid
air
    beyond
        repair
in

unheard
unspoken
a

Ad Nauseum
my sorrow bears
leaves of jacaranda
purple eyes the flower,

the fear,
a dank damp cloth of night
covered my face

Beautiful moments shared in honesty
Brave talks that opened hearts and souls
Birthing love with intermediate breaths we won

Closeness happened and we found each other
Closing the curtains we opened every window
Cajoling kindred spirits, mirroring the self.

Losing My Memory
LOSING MY MEMORY

Factual material
In dissembling separate realms
Different lots at an auction sale
Of a lifetime
Purchased with precious time
Time  wasted ;
Now with instinct feelings
All disassembled
And greater than the separate parts.

Jumbled in the lumber room of memory
Lots of material -
And volumes are increasingly
Missing from my shelves.
I know I had them once
But they’re gone :
Sometimes in the illogic of sleep
They return momentarily....
