Moonlight—
Captures their fate
Dread sight
Dawn breaks
Bugle beckons
Hand shakes
Death waits
Behind a cloud
Devastates
As of today
This dreary dark moonlight day
When only the evil lurks
It devastates
Why does this cool moon breeze petrify my face
With this smurk not that of pure smile
But of a silent evil and of a un-pure light
That shine dark and vivid
Death of a relationship may be the result of one's
Indifference to the other's feelings and needs,
Vindictive words and actions, victimizing that stuns,
Or infidelity that devastates~~and a heart bleeds.
Romance may yet win out, dismissing pessimism.
Crying may cease, with time and the fading of past deeds.
Each step on the path leads to optimism.
How vehement his thoughts winning the realm,
so, thus venomous the success became.
Bitter —the taste of power and the helm,
yet sweet; until thy honesty got maim.
Mediocrities —get up to the bones,
devastates entrustment without exempt.
Anomie stands indelible —in zones,
solemnly results in beneath contempt.
Animus capitalized for sole greed,
it will scar your demeanor —well indeed.
Death of Choice.
The calling of a great purpose
The one amorous desire.
Nothing more than a romantic delusion
Convincing conviction,
Catastrophically crushed
As if set afire.
As if the world was pulled out from under
It devastates all.
This storm surrounding
This inaction stuck in the eye.
The unknowing is maddening
The pain begging
as the love slowly begins to die.
The synthetic poison
that courses through my veins
churns the bowel of the earth
and sent a tremor through my heart.
What kind of remedy this is?
It heals one part,
But devastates the other,
What kind of potion man brews?
I see the flower buds
bursting forth on one branch
leaving the adjacent portion barren,
It heals and harms
It yields and resists...
It resuscitates the body
but kills the spirit.
Grief hides behind a veil of tears
that burns like acid rain;
in a downpour of anger, hurt, and disbelief.
Consuming every moment and every thought
grief, wants to lash out at the world;
desperate for some relief.
But nothing can numb the hurt,
as grief clings to death, and in so doing
devastates the living.
As love shrinks to memories
reflected within pools of tears;
Grief is overwhelming and unforgiving.
Hate, is a ponderous thing to carry,
Its fire too passionate to be ignored.
Its consequence on one's heart is scary,
It devastates good things there stored.
Venomous thoughts must be curtailed,
Swept into amnesia from their start.
If permitted to endure, in life we've failed,
For hate will lay waste a loving heart.
Bestow patience, Lord, as we wait,
Examining all other points of view.
In life, no space, to accommodate hate,
And recognize that its because of you.
Don’t release me
I beg
My fingers laced, locked, ‘round that part—
That portion that still believes
Don’t forget
I plead
The times you felt my soul,
And the truths that you could see
Please,
Don’t release me
I beg
I drown in the chopping waves of your words
I suffocate in your silence
The oceans deafening distance devastates me
And your uncertainty turns like violence
Time is my stumbling ally
Confusion my foe
Please don’t release me
Because I can’t let you go.
Hiding in the shadows
dementia devastates;
as sanity slowly
begins slipping away.
When your memory fails,
life loses its meaning;
and you become depressed;
bewildered, and confused.
Your heart morphs into a
desolate derelict;
a floundering vessel
not even love can save.
Hope's quickly depleted,
for trust doesn't exist;
only time remains true,
in this facade of lies.
And when reality's
stranger than any dream;
Alzheimer's tethers your
soul to oblivion.
